Ignoring your grammar, they are there, but mismatches aren't mismatches unless executed.

If Major Applewhite were the OC, Les would make him Lieutenant Applewhite.

Alabama's O-line makes Kiffin look a lot better than he is. Easy to run an offense when you have that wall every year.

Sure it helps to have Bama's talent, but you're nuts if you don't think Kiffin deserves a ton of credit.

He took a first year starter (Sims) and made the playoffs. Then he took another first year starter (Coker) and won it all.

His play calling is diverse and creative. He's good, you just have to admit it.

Lmao like LSU could get Kiffin to come to an unstable LSU job where Les might not even be here next year. He's sitting under Nicky who's about as stable as it gets. He's going NOWHERE unless it's a HC job.

Like Kiffin or not he was very creative at Bama. Sims became the single season pass leader for them. If Kiffin wanted to come here, I'd be for it. I just don't see that happening.

I would not be against it at all. But the bigger question is WHY? Why would he want to come here (other than the $). He is in a place that produces NCs routinely.
I would think this would bring him more exposure and increase the likelihood that he gets another shot at a HC position. I don't know.....maybe his ego and Saban's will eventually clash beyond repairs.

2008 offense wasnt really bad besides the pick sixes. Compare 2008 to 2011. The defenses really helped define those seasons.

2008 Offense stats nationally

Scoring Offense 30th
Offense scoring per game 30.92
Total Offense 55th
Yards per game 368.08
Passing Offense 71st
total passing per game 201.31
rushing offense 43rd
Rush yards per game 166.77

Xxxxxxxxxxxx
2011 stats nationally

Scoring Offense 17th
offense scoring per game 35.7
Total Offense 86th
offense per game 355.07
Passing Offense 106th
passing per game 152.50
Rushing Offense 22th
Rushing per game 202.57

Kiffin would never come here and deal with Les meddling with his offense all the time. OC under Les Miles is career suicide! The reason he's so successful at Bama is while Saban may constantly bitch at him on the sideline, he lets him run his offense.

The ONLY way Kiffin would come to LSU is if they guaranteed him "HC in waiting". That ain't happening. Moving on...

All u frickin idiots bickering back & forth about kiffin this, kiffin that, bama's OL this, OL that, are missing 2 obvious points.
1. He only makes 700k. Offer him double. Bama would match, he would stay. We make bama double his salary
2. Let's say he isn't your top hire. Let's say he's 3rd on your list. Buuuuut, you'd be delivering a huge blow to your biggest rival.

I'd hire him just on appearances alone. He's obviously a top notch coordinator & recruiter (when he follows rules) no matter what u imbeciles think. But even if he was just "above average", the damage to Bama would make up for it. And, above average is better than anything we've in a long time

Kiffen is a huge douche so he fits in well in Gumpville.

Considering who runs the SEC HQ, they probably would make up a BS rule to void the offer.

SEC HQ, Kiffen, Gumps ---

No doubt. But that was the consensus on O before he became OUR douchebag. It's all a matter of perspective. And to his defense, he's been pretty low key in bama.

Prolly cause Saban has his balls in a jar on his desk

Yeah, no way Bama would allow a lateral move to a SEC west opponent. They would pay him whatever they had to in order to keep him. I remember a certain softball coach who had announced that he was making a lateral move to LSU......until they convinced him to not do so.

So Miles was OC in '13?

When LSU fails, it's Miles.

When LSU is successful, it's other LSU coaches, players, shitty teams we play, luck, fans, trainers, water boy, and on and on.........

Not a Kiffin fan but to compare him to Cam Cameron is equal to comparing a Nobel prize winner to mentally retardeded moron.

Kiffen is legit. He took and under manned UT team and would have beat Saban if the Frickin refs would have called a penalty for fat mount Cody taking his helmet off!! Dude can call some good plays and excels in creating mismatches. BTW our offense is the worse I've ever seen at creating mismatches.

Anybody that says he's not a good OC are just fooling themselves. Both stints at USC, Tennessee stint and Bama, he has produced successful offenses.

USC in 2005 he had the #2 scoring offense with all those stars on there like Leinart at QB, Bush and LenDale at RB and Steve Smith and Dwyane Jarrett at WR. Even when he lost that star power at QB and RB after that year, they still finished with a top 20 scoring offense and JD Booty was very successful in it. His second stint at USC was at least successful on offense as well.

At Tennessee he more than doubled their offensive output the before. Crompton finished with 2800 pass yards and 27 TDs on 58.3% after being pretty garbage the year before.

You all know what he has done at Bama. Blake Sims, a QB turned RB, turned seldom used backup QB broke Alabama records in total yards, total TDs, and passing yards, among others. This year they averaged a modest 227 yards passing per game with 68% cmp and 22 TDs to 10 ints. That's with a true freshman WR, a 1st year starter WR, a 1st year starting JUCO transfer WR, and a seldom used TE as their top 4 pass catchers.

He would dominant with LSU's talent, but Miles likes puppet OCs. He likes guys that are either passed their prime, or weren't really that good in the first place.
