EXACTLY!!!!!! After the NC game Kiffin stated that Saban wasn't so hardheaded as to demand it be done the old school way. Nick listened to him and they formulated a scheme for each game together. His words, not mine. Les has apparently not shown much of a mind to allow his OC to open it up a bit. Do you think a leopard can or will change his spots? I'm thinking Les might SHOULD consider Saban's "new wave" methods or be shown the door - very much HIS choice!

Major Applewhite were the OC, Les would make him Lieutenant Applewhite.

I don't get the obsession with Major. I feel like the aim should be to hire as close to a sure thing as you can get and that ain't Major. I think he's probably a better OC than he was in 2007. I'm sure he has learned from herman BUT there's no guarantee.

Now if you wanted to find a way for a guy like that to come on as a position coach, I'd be all for it. Cam and Les are supposedly visiting spread teams. Why not fill our running back coach vacancy with a guy from a spread team who can help them implement a new offense? Oh by the way, he coached RB's for five years at Texas. Would love to have him as a RB Coach/Passing game coordinator. Just don't think I want him calling plays.

Financially, it works for both parties. Dude is only make 300K at UH. We could double his salary and still save $100k.

Rebuttal- 35 att vs Arky, and 51 att vs OM in consecutive losses.
There were also a couple games earlier in season where LSU came out throwing, but shut it down due to execution problems.
