re: Is Ole Miss LSU's top rival? - Hair of the Dog
I believe proximity and competitivity are the two most important ingredients in a college football rivalry. LSU had a rivalry with Tulane in the 20th century and lost it due to lack of competition. LSU had a strong rivalry with Ole Miss until the 1970's when when we began to dominate them. The...

re: Who wins the SEC Championship first of the bottom 8 - Hair of the Dog
B. Shea Patterson has never taken a fricking snap in college football. There are more busts than not among 5* QBs.
He may transferr to LSU when the Hammer drops up there. We might have to let his brother be a water boy though....

re: Was State the 1941 national champion? - Hair of the Dog
Those farm boys had a hell of a lot more to worry about than who got the nation title. I love to see bama fans defend those old titles. It's like the Cowboys calling themselves America's Team....

re: Who wins the SEC Championship first of the bottom 8 - Hair of the Dog
After spending half $billion on football the last 4 years, there are going to be some angry Aggie oilmen if they don't win the SEC in the next few years. ...

re: Would you trade Fournette for Mathieu this year. - Hair of the Dog
I would trade Fournette for the entire 2011 Defence with Aranda as DC but not just for Mathieu. Mathieu whouldn't have been the Honey Badger without his crew to let him roam....

re: 1989 Football revisited - Hair of the Dog
LSU suffered many years because of Prop 48, Louisiana high schools couldn't get players to met those requirements and the SEC only let you have 2 I think, at one point it was none. Where other schools (Like FSU or Miami) could come on into LA and take all these kids LSU couldn't get in schoo...

re: Jordy Hultberg arrested for domestic abuse - Hair of the Dog
He played at LSU before my time. How good was this guy? I have seen him on the sidelines and in commercials was he some famous LSU athlete?
I think LSU made it to the elite eight in the NCAA tournament his senior year,1979, and he was a starting guard. He wasn't NBA caliber but still....

re: Am I strange because I refuse to scalp tickets? - Hair of the Dog
If face value was all you paid for your tickets that's fine. But you pay a hell of a lot more. They couldn't build the south endzone for face value....

re: No time set for Ole Miss game? - Hair of the Dog
I think I'm gonna switch games and go to Mississippi State instead. My dad's first game has to be a night game. It may be the only LSU game he sees in Tiger Stadium and I want him to remember it at night while it's rockin.
It's giong to be awfully hot September 17th, even at night. ...

re: Most Overrated SEC coaching legend - Hair of the Dog
It's either Jordan, "Tie" Dye or Dooley. [link=(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Dietzel)]Paul Dietzel[/link] may not be considered an SEC coaching legend because he was only at LSU 7 years and had one magical year in 1958 (with homegrown talent). ...
Nick Saban put LSU on the map. Then, put Alabama back on the map. I'm not sure why both schools don't just thank the man. He's the exceptional coach.
I wish he'd go to the NFL again or retire....

re: Bama made Nick Saban elite - Hair of the Dog
LSU gave Saban everything he asked, Bama later did the same at a higher ante. Both programs were humble and desperate to win. Texas has the deepest pockets in College Football. They must not have been humble and desperate enough to give him everthing he wanted....

re: When was the last time Bama got completely blown out? - Hair of the Dog
LSU Football history says we beat them 27-0 in Tuscaloosa in 1997. I vaguely remember Kevin Faulk running all over them in that game. Also our biggest blowout of them was a 28-0 win in Baton Rouge in 1957. Jimmy Taylor must have run over them in that game. I saw him, Billy Cannon, Jerry Stov...

re: Is it SEC Championship or Bust for LSU in 2016 - Hair of the Dog
