the ivy league schools offer the same financial aid package as vandy does. if your family makes under a certain amount, you go for free

they only play themselves in football so we can't tell what their strength is (even though Yale beat FBS Army), but Harvard has been in the top 25 in hoops and Columbia was one win away from hosting a super regional. compare that to what they were doing before

Right but I wonder if he knows that Lsu has the best known brand in college baseball

haha get the frick out with this noise when it comes to recruiting

18 year olds now were 12 in 09. They were 3 in '00.

Their parents & coaches might know the 'brand' but college sports move fast as shite. College football recruits now probably know shite about Nebraska being an all-time powerhouse.

LSU finished as a joke

The only "joke" is having to listen to fans whose team just went to the CWS for the 4th time in 9 yrs. bitch and moan bout their teams effort.

Tell me how many teams/HCs in college baseball own better than 4 CWS trips and a NC since 07?

LSU finished 5th in the nation and that's a freaking "joke" to you? You have to be one miserable guy in life to see that kinda effort on the part of your team you claim to support as a "joke"

That plus the most rabid fans in the country- that fact alone, how could that not be a top drawing card? We are #1 in attendance EVERY year and it's not even close! Is it maybe PM is feeling the shadow over his shoulder? He feels the pressure of not measuring up to Skip or the fans?

No one will ever measure up to Skip for many reasons. LSU fans who can't understand that college baseball has changed since the 90's need to jump off the bandwagon.

The brand has little to do with long ago national titles... they're just years on a billboard.

who treats college baseball like their state's MLB team, and packs the place accordingly, with multiple threads on the rant for every single game? That's the LSU brand, and to understand the difference, watch our regional or super, then watch everyone else's

To say LSU is the best known brand in college baseball is completely looking through P&G glasses. We are one of the most recognized brands in college baseball.

You think Seminole Nation was happy with their 4th place finish in football this year and getting rolled by an Oregon team as bad as we got dominated by TCU?

And stop calling me "miserable." Worry about your own life, dad.

You think FSU fans were calling for Jimbo Fisher's job after the loss?

I think they questioned their game plan and strategies.

And Jimbo didn't go to the Talahassee newspaper after the game and throw Jameis Winston under the bus.

There was that whole "Crystal Ball" thing he brought home the year before.

Paul Mainieri is the first coach I've ever seen in any sport that finished in the top 5 and won a conference title and fans wanted him gone. Think about how absurd that sounds

LSU711, what are you basing your comment on re Zardon? What CPM is saying is that Zardon was given several chances at several different positions early in the season & no doubt in both Fall & Spring practices. Either he didn't pan out...too many errors..or other players stepped up & took advantage of the situations at 3rd & 1st base. Looking at the season as a whole, who do you sit down, Hale or Chinea over Zardon?

Last I checked there'd be some games throughout the regular season where you can work on development without costing your team a chance at winning.

Yeah, they're called pre-conference and midweek games.

Such a cop out on Mainieri's part.

I think anyone not at lease "happy" with a 4th or 5th place finish in todays highly competitive college sport world needs to run and not walk to their local mental health provider, but that's just me...you can be as "miserable" as you wish.

I don't know bout the "Seminole Nation", but I feel comfortable in saying that those who oversee Fla. St. football are freaking wild bout what has gone on between the lines with their football program.

It’s not a normal thing for a player to turn down $2 million signing bonuses to attend LSU. But that happens pretty regularly at Vanderbilt.

Is that factual? I know a Vanderbilt education is worth a great deal, but if your goal is the MLB I think you can be as dumb as a Rock......er.

Get it.
