“Last weekend we went to Javen pretty early and he pretty much dominated the game. I was happy to get five innings out of Ma'Khail, he was outstanding."

JCs 7th and 8th showed us why MH was pulled. Just a bonehead play by Doughty and JC lost his control a bit afterwards

If we went into Game 1 of a Super with the mindset that we’d be “happy” to get 5 innings out of our starting pitcher, then he shouldn’t have been our starting pitcher to begin with. Or you have the wrong mindset.

Let’s do something because it worked last week. Paul has no ability to sense what’s happening in the current game. He hasn’t had that ability for 15 years.

It was a one run game. Hind sight is 20/20.
Obviously Coleman was first out either way. Im more disappointed in the 16 K’s, none of the UT pitchers were over powering.

Expecting Coleman to do what he did last week is idiotic. He was ok but no reason to pull Hilliard for that line of thinking

If Ma'Khail having an outstanding night, it's simple, he deserves to finish the game.

I would have pulled him too. Hilliard had a good outing but he’s got two pitches and the top of the lineup was about to see him again.

Nah, you can’t play that. It is all in the game thread where people say to pull the pitcher or not. So don’t act like that was said after the fact

It is. I never remember people going back to those threads when it works out and eating crow though.
