LSU or the Saints - who do you care about more and why?

I'll start.
LSU because I went there. And I'm not from Louisiana so the Saints ties just were never there.

I'd be shocked if LSU won this poll being on an LSU board

Definitely LSU. Because I love college football more than pro football. I still like the Saint's, pull for them, go to the games....but I love LSU.

I'm definitely a fan of both, but this isn't close.

And I'd be shocked if you posted something without being a dick about it.

Honestly Saints
I watch or listen to My Tigers every weekend but I really dont watch that much college football of other teams. Ive grown out of the target group or maybe its because I prefer the real NFL as opposed to its farm league the NCAA/SEC.
I used to be a bigger college fan but until they do a playoff system I'll more support the league where I know I get what each team is paying for as opposed to watching a league where only some teams pay for their team and or their coach.

Most who enjoy both are more passionate about college becasue the games mean more. You can lose 5-6 games and win Super Bowls making the losses easier. The pagentry, theatre and tradition are what makes college football unique. The rivalries are so much more meaningful and the storylines go so deep.
I love both LSU and Saints football, but a Tigers loss on Saturday makes me irritable for weeks. A Saints loss, outside of playoff loss or whatna, and it's just another day.

not to mention the college game evolves much more quickly with atheletes only playing 3-4 years, if that in some cases.
Nowhere near the same in the NFL, although im a HUGE saints fan. college is just more exciting.

LSU FTW. I'm a Saints fan too, but not nearly as much as I am LSU. Went to school there, grew up in Baton Rouge, dad took me to every home game from memory on up and I still sit in the same seats I grew up in, etc. etc. etc.
Saints were always kind of blah for me but I will say I never completely bandwagoned another team. Always stuck with the "home team" Saints. You'll never hear me say that I'm a "hardcore diehard Saints fan" yelling Who Dat at every person I see in Saints gear because it's not true. And I hate people that all of a sudden starting doing that and trying to act like they've always been that way.
But I do give a GEAUX TIGERS to anyone wearing LSU when I'm in a different city.

It has to be LSU. The reason is the Saints are the Gulf Coast Team because MS and AL don't have pro teams. LSU is Louisiana's team.

I'm a bigger fan of pro football, I only watch LSU and maybe a primetime SEC game if there's nothing else on, like Bama vs Arky for example. I usually watch football all day long on Sunday. The speed of the NFL is just so much faster and more entertaining for me. Sure college has more tradition and such, but as far as watching the game NFL is more entertaining imo.

in terms of importance, LSU>>>Saints....
of course, i have always been a huge college sports fan, thinking they have their school, friends and family, and pride to play for...
the pros basically get paid very well, win or lose, so you can tell when they mail it in... that doesn't happen as much in college... hell, even McNeese was going toe to toe with LSU regardless of the fact they were heavy underdogs...
it could be perception over reality, but it just seems to me, at least, that it means so much more to college players than pro players, and for that reason, i enjoy LSU more...
