LSU and it's not even close. I'm not a saints fan at all and I grew up in New Orleans. I guess....being an LSU fan in the N.O. area is a little more "unique" than being a Saints fan. Not to mention, I love college football and could give a shite less about the pros. Professional football is boring IMHO.

Easy question. LSU

first of all this site is called TIGER droppings, not saint droppings, that should answer the question. But for me its not even close at all, I couldn't tell you the Saint's record right now.

The Tigers have always been bigger to me. I went to school there as well as other family members so its special. Pro ball has always been "something to do on sundays." Was never a Saints fan even though I grew up in southwest La.. I was an Oilers fan because of proximity. Moved to Tampa 24 years ago and the Bucs took over my alegiance. However, they don't hurt me near as much when they lose as the Tigers do.

LSU by 1000 times. I'm a Cowboys fan however, I do LOVE to watch the Saints lose.

Grew up in New Orleans, and am a huge Saints fan. Them winning the Super Bowl was AWESOME! That said, I'd trade one more LSU national championship in my lifetime for the Saints going 0-16 for the rest of my lifetime.

Born and raised 10 miles from New Orleans but I am an LSU fan at heart. Being a graduate also has something to do with it but LSU is like family where as the Saints are like friends. Friends come and go but you family is always there.
I will fully admit to being a Saints basher in the Ditka, Aaron Brooks and Joe Horn days of the Saints. I didn't even own Saints gear until before the 2009 season. To this day I am not a big fan of Tom Benson and his leveraging moving the team to get what he wants even though he has money coming out his ears.

I could not pick one over the other. Love em both with the same passion and intensity...although Haslet and Brooks came close to making me quit on the Saints. It was the worst of times. Last year, the best of times.
I cried for both LSU and the Saints championships.

LSU.... not even close

I feel worse when Lsu wins by 20 but plays bad then when the saints get stomped. Always thought I was a saints fan but starting to wonder.
It's Lsu
It's Lsu

As I approach the end of my 40's, I can very honestly say I am a huge fan of both. slight edge to LSU though.
My first knowledge of football was as a very young boy in 1969. My Daddy took me and the son of the State Trooper in LaPlace who gave him the tickets (Ben Tamborella - are you out there?) to the LSU-Auburn game on Oct. 25, 1969. My blood has been purple and my veins gold since that day. When Jimmy Gilbert threw that halfback option pass to Andy Hamilton for a TD on the first play of the game, I had to put my little hands over my ears !!!
The next week, I cried when Archie Who beat the Tigers 26-23, which would end up ruining LSU's NC and bowl hopes.
If I'm not mistaken the Saints were in the middle of a winning streak then after starting off 0-6, including a game in St. Louis I watched that weekend where Billy Kilmer of the Saints and Charley Johnson of the Cardinals combined for 12 TD passes.
My Dad says he put me on his shoulders at Moisant Airport when the Saints arrived back from their first every victory over Philadelphia in 1967, but I don't remember :)
I DO remember the first Saints game I ever went to: August 1970 - exhibition vs the Detroit Lions and Bill Munson.
The Lions won. The score? 31-17 - A score that would be prophetic 40 years later :)
I remember walking past the shrubs on Tulane's campus and up the ramp of Tulane Stadium - and seeing and hearing and smelling: "Jax Beerman heayah!" cigars, popcorn, peeing behind the stands because the line was too long for my Dad :), men in suits and hats, etc.
I had become a Saints fan too.....
4 decades later we were losing our minds in Cafe Giovanni's as Tracy Porter stepped in front of NOLA's favorite son Peyton's pass....
Yeah I'd say I'm both, but maybe a leeeetle more LSU at heart.

LSU. I'm a student here and I actually have classes with many of the football players. I feel with LSU, I am a part of it, and a part of the tradition.
I LOVE my Saints, but i'll never meet them or have any personal connection outside of living in New Orleans.

This is an easy one- no contest.
The Saints belong to a car dealer from San Antonio.
LSU belongs to the people of Louisiana.

LSU. I love college ball. I love LSU.
I like the Saints but am not addicted to the NFL.

LSU is in the blood. I've always been a Saints fan and I love that they won a Championship but college ball is where it's at for me.

I think if you grew up in BR the answer is LSU and if you come from NOLA then the answer is the Saints.
Everybody else is a wild card.

Most who enjoy both are more passionate about college becasue the games mean more. You can lose 5-6 games and win Super Bowls making the losses easier. The pagentry, theatre and tradition are what makes college football unique. The rivalries are so much more meaningful and the storylines go so deep.
I love both LSU and Saints football, but a Tigers loss on Saturday makes me irritable for weeks. A Saints loss, outside of playoff loss or whatna, and it's just another day.
No sense in re-inventing the wheel. That sums it up nicely for me. I just care a shite-ton more for CFB than the pros. But I love the Saints. They are my fav NFL team. And I'll always be proud when the play well.
