They were doing that in the same years we were constantly winning the season attendance record. According to your link

I think they tried to make sure LSU and Vandy were apart.

Wow. I get the perception that the #4 seed was a slight, but this isn't football, guys. It's been said a million times, but the seeding doesn't mean a damn thing as long as you are one of the top 8. Once you are in the top 8, the big question is the draw, who you have to play to get to Omaha.

LSU got a GREAT draw. They got a better draw than UNC did at #1. The SEC also got 9 teams in when we figured that they were going to jam the ACC crap down our throats with 4 National Seeds.

You're right ... the 4-see was a bit of a slight (we deserved 3 or higher IMO), but it doesn't matter and on paper we indeed got a better draw than 1-3 ... ULL and Virginia Tech is nice smooth path to Omaha, with no "perennial powers" with loads of postseason experience standing in our path.

so only 1 team can have an impact on college baseball?

Be Happy! LSU, nor many have won it all from the #1 seed.

Forget the number next to our name and focus on the teams in our regional & super. We got about as good of a road to Omaha as we could get. I'm not saying it's a cakewalk but it could have been a lot worse.

#4 is alright with me. The #1 seed hasn't won a championship in forever.

when Vandy went #2 we pretty much were guaranteed #4,...If Vandy was #1, we would have been #3

Is Cox Sports picking up the ESPn3 feed or is Bases Loaded the only TV channel other than online?

Cox can't show any games due to ESPN picking up all games.

the committee actually got their heads out of their asses for a change and jumped Oregon State over us for this lone reason. Glad they got a small piece of the puzzle right.

I'm confused on that. If ESPN doesn't show an LSU game as a feature game (on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU), I'd think they'd let regional TV partners like CST pick up the ESPN3 games. If not, that is stupid.

If true, then they should have done LSU #1, Vandy #2, in my humble opinion.

YES I Agree, or vice versa ...or LSU 2 and Vandy 4...

Exactly. I actually figured that it would be:

UNC
LSU/Vandy
Virginia
LSU/Vandy

I get putting Oregon State there, though.

not really difficult to understand.
Crushes attendance records, shows baseball can be profitable, etc

My question is was Miss State profitable as a college baseball program before LSU was? Also were there any other baseball programs in the nation that made a profit the same time as or anytime before LSU did? If yes to any of those questions then that's one of the arguments gone. You also have to prove that the only reason college baseball programs started making money was because LSU proved it to them.

Vandy still won the SEC. LSU won a one game sample that was basically even until extra innings. I have no problem with Vandy getting respect. It should be Vandy #1 and LSU #2.
