I've lived in Laf since '75. Nightmare is putting it mildly. Most of their fans are saying its a lock. Much better hitting club than LSU. I never like to play them. It's a nothing to lose scenario.

but seriously? Oklahoma State? What did they do that was more noteworthy to give them the #3 seed and not us?

Wrong "O" state... try Oregon State as #3 who have been up high all season.

on a good day, we could defeat the tigers once. hell...it's baseball. however, we can't beat them twice.

talking about the regular season title right? I can understand that being #4 avoids us Vandy until Omaha should everything play out the way we need it, but seriously? Oklahoma State? What did they do that was more noteworthy to give them the #3 seed and not us?

Really?

Seriously? Look at the stadiums and attendance in the SEC...LSU is the reason.

mississippi state was drawing crowds of over 10,000 before lsu even dreamed of doing that.

This, the committee actually did this to help us out

If true, then they should have done LSU #1, Vandy #2, in my humble opinion.

I don't think some of you realize being #4 is better than being #3 this year in that we wont see vandy until the finals in Omaha.
If we were #3 we would meet up in the semis (if all played out right)

So this was an inside job by the committee to set up a possible LSU Vandy Final series ?

You're right...it's baseball & anything can & does happen. Which means the Cajuns can do it & I'll have to live with daily smack talk for my remaining years. LOL. (Should be a great atmosphere)

The #4 is a slap in the face but considering our draw its not a bad trade IMO. The ULL deal is a no win situation for LSU. Its a product of selection committee manipulating the brackets in favor of keeping teams close to home. Just rank em and let em play.

When miss st was winning avg attendance records their highest average was half of what LSU's is today. LSU also has every total attendance record since 96'. The total attendance is now nearly double the one year miss st led. Its pretty easy to see how LSU affected college baseball.

LSU
CSF or UCLA

Oregon Or NCSt
UNC or USC
