Maybe they think smith's power is preferable to Douglas's finesse in this match up.

Just give the kid a chance. If he pitches well it could be the type of thing that gives the club a spark.

Didn't they give up double digit runs in both games in Omaha? Their pitching staff was subpar.

I give their hitters mucho credit, though.

Their outfield had a lot to do with it. That's why Paul tried to recreate it the very next year. The Mary-armed outfield era at LSU.

Lsu isnt going anywhere if they made it past stony brook. They had gausman and nothing behind him.
Their outfield was infinitely better than ours and it showed. I still wake up in cold sweats thinking about them getting to balls we crushed into the gaps.

Game 1 felt like game 1 of the cws championship series against texas. Thought for sure lsu baseball magic would carry us to victory after that
