Idiotic. Quit bitching you bunch of nancyboys. You don't have to spend Thanksgiving with family every year. Grow up.

The stadium seems to have trouble filling up for the Friday games in the past. Do they think it will be better on a Thursday?

whats your point exactly?

People didn't give a shite about the Arky/LSU game and the only times I remember the stadium being packed were the past two NC seasons

Yes, this is horribly fricking stupid and someone needs to grab Alleva and Verge and tell them so.

1) LSU has an exclusive national television lock on the Friday after Thanksgiving

2) Hell, I live in Chitown and guys who barely watch college football know that gorging on leftovers while watching LSU-Arkansas is an annual rite to escape from Black Friday nonsense.
This is a regular event in people's minds nationally.

3) Who plays on Thanksgiving night now? Ole Miss, Miss. State, Texas and Gay&M, 4 teams way beneath LSU in terms of football brands. You can barely tell MSU and Gay&M's uniforms apart. ANd the whole Jackie Sherrill connection. Gay.

4) I'm just not into the Gay&M rivalry that much. It's like a game that's behind: AL, AU, UF, AR-- 5th at best,

5) However since some people are gullible enough that this is a rivalry what LSU SHOULD do is establish it as like the Saturday of Labor Day or the Saturday after every year. Notre Dame-Michigan, LSU-Gay&M kind of thing. But do not put it on Thanksgiving -- that's just gay!!!!''

I used to love the UT-A&M game on Thanksgiving night. It's a brilliant idea and I guarantee every LSU and A&M fan will love this game as it grows in importance over the next several years.

You seem to think the eyes of the world will be on us on Thrusday night, do you really want them to see a 3/4 filled stadium?

Because its a game I was really looking forward to going to with a big group of Aggies friends and now I will never get to go and if it is on Thanksgiving night will not get to watch with friends I like to watch games with.

Well, you have a choice...

I don't understand your point, no one is saying they won't watch.

Never said anyone did. I was just saying that for those that are complaining NOW, some will give-in and go to the game, and the rest will still watch.

As to having a national audience, that I grossly over rated, LSU has a national recognition already.

So you honestly don't understand how being the ONLY college game on would be a benefit right at the end of the season?

You act like this hasn't happen before with LSU. Also, stop acting like this is the end of the world and the worst idea ever. LSU isn't going to receive special treatment and have this game on a Saturday like the Iron Bowl [Which this is what most LSU fans want]. Putting this game on primetime the day of turkey day is a smart move for the league/TV Ratings.

Which supersedes everything else.

I'm not sure what this has to do with me, the only things I have said regard keeping the game on Friday.

so give up the opportunity to be the only college football game on tv. Yeah that a great idea...

Also, does this mean that Arkansas & Missouri will play earlier in the season or will they play on Friday or Saturday?

I bet this thread is full of dumb LSU fans bitching about possibly a Thursday game.

I think OT would be awesome to play on thanksgiving night like Texas and am used to.

And it would be a night game because that's so important to you people

I'm not a big tailgater, I get to the campus at about 4:00 for a 7:00 game. However I do understand that for many thousands of people, a Thanksgiving Night game will totally screw up their tailgating fun. It's part of what make LSU night games so great.

If playing Thanksgiving Night was so important to the Aggies they should have stayed in the Longhorn Conference. LSU shouldn't have to suffer for this. Yet another scheduling problem for LSU fans to gripe about.

Reading the thread is funny.

Morons don't realize that it's a pretty big deal to play on thanksgiving.

Boo fricking hoo.

Im convinced a lot of LSU fans would rather the team suck just to ensure all night games just so they can have longer to drink.
