WHOA! Slow down there dgnx6. I've learned from reading the rant that only Les Miles makes boneheaded decisions and that nick saban walks on water and is the not only the best coach in the history of coaches, no matter the sport, but is the most perfect human being in the history of mankind.

If you don't believe me, ask tigersclaw15. He will set you straight just as soon as he removes his nose from sabans arse.

see, that's the problem with idiots. I never said Les wasn't a great coach. I think he is the 2nd best ever at LSU. I simply stated that Saban was better and people lose their shite. Everyone in the college football world knows Saban is better. I simply stated that fact. Nothing more. People fear him so much that anything not derogatory towards him channels simple minded people to thinking that this person loves Saban. Its just not true. As a matter of fact, I think Miles is going to beat Sabans arse tomorrow and will out coach him in BDS.

News flash, we are talking about at LSU and not LSU/Alabama.

You have not given a fricking thing that Saban did at LSU that Les hasn't done and in most cases done more times. How in the hell does that make Les 2nd best at LSU?

That's just your opinion. It's my belief that saban wasn't as successful of a coach at LSU as Miles as been at LSU.

didn't belong

They belong. TCU is Power 5, and they've been Power 5 for as long as the term has been commonly used.

Other than pushing back against your weak attempt to discount TCU, I wasn't trying to make a case about the records. I simply posted accurate numbers.

People routinely post false numbers on this board, and it is generally in an attempt to praise Miles. Pathetically, those posts with false numbers generally garner a lot of Up Votes.

I wouldn't have even gotten involved in this BS talk if you had been correct about what you posted.

Now you want to add wins

I didn't say anything about adding wins. Stop talking BS.

It is true that those wins happened on the field. I just pointed that out. The NCAA officially says the wins/games don't count -- I'm not arguing that. I generally only point it out when posters try to falsify numbers. And I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging that those wins happened on the field. Most of the people involved in those games/wins were not involved in the penalties that led to the games/wins being vacated.

What I have found amusing is all the people who doubted him (including me) he made look like fools. Sometimes you just don't have the players to execute the game plan. You can't take chicken shite and make chicken salad.

But those years when we do have the hosses, we dominate! I would be willing to bet if any other coach had the talent on those 8 and 5 teams they would have dropped 2 more games.

Miles needs this win badly. Five straight losses to Saban? He'd be essentially Cholly Mac to Saban's Bear Bryant ... the affable "good" coach who can't beat a great one.

I think this is pretty fair, IMO. The fact that we were able to squeeze out wins against Ole Miss and Florida last year was damned impressive.

If that post was about Les Miles, I think it's way off.

Lacking roster talent is not an issue for LSU.

If that's what y'all are saying, that is so ridiculous.

There are times when certain positions aren't very strong, but a lot of that is about recruiting, and LSU is in a very advantageous position to recruit top talent.

We lost six starters from the 2013 team as early entrants to the NFL draft. It's impossible to consistently reload with that type of attrition.

Regarding the Ole Miss and Florida games that you mentioned, I was saying I disagree because both those teams made crucial mistakes at the end of the games, and there was nothing about the LSU coaching in those games that stood out as something special that other coaches wouldn't have been able to do. Those were Physical wins.

The game plan against Ole Miss was good because their D was relatively undersized, and struggled vs. the power-running game, but that's just what LSU does, for the most part, regardless of the opponent. The game plan vs. Alabama is generally very similar, but it doesn't work as well because Alabama has the size and strength on D to stuff the power run.

By the way, TCU THRASHED that Ole Miss team in the Peach Bowl 42-3.

As for reloading after early entrants, from the same year, Alabama lost five starters (98 combined career starts) to early entry, then went 12-2 and won the SEC Championship.

Florida St. lost 5 starters (127 combined career starts) to early entry from last year's team. They're currently 7-2. We'll have to see how they finish.

FSU lost four starters (100 combined career starts) to early entry into the 2013 Draft, then won the National Championship.
