That Jamarcus Russell kid was pretty good.

Ignore me all you want, Jax. I just refuse to view our football team through P&G glasses.

LF is good and has a man's body. But at this point, he's just not as good as I expected from the top recruit in the country.

LF, Magee, Hilliard, and Williams average yards per carry were 5.5, 5.1, 5.0, and 4.7 respectively. Yes, LF has the best stats of the group, but all of those guys are closely bunched.

Fournette's 5.5 YPC was tied for 65th nationally.

I think you're right, but he also turned a corner after his 4th or 5th game.

As a freshman, he showed plenty to be excited about.

You are insane. You are looking at only his stats. What about kick off returns, receptions, attitude, Humbleness, The way he makes everyone around him pumped up and better, just like Jamal Adams on D. This kid is the Truth and he will either have a huge season leading a Heisman in 2015 or 2016. But if there is no Heisman, he will still have a huge year in 2015 or more like in 2016 before his choice to leave early, but not before he string together some National Championships. I do think his attitude is infectious and we need that a lot at LSU, a young star that motivates this team not by saying "hey look at me", but pumping up the team with his big plays. Making everyone else around him better. That's why is and still is the best recruit and player of 2014

both Williams and Fournette show plenty to be excited about IMO. They are different backs with different strengths and weaknesses, but both have great futures in front of them.

No they arent. LF had a yard better average than williams and 4 times as many carries. I dont think you understand that with increased carries, your ypc average usually goes down. Your statement saying LF hadnt separated himself from Williams is dumb.

The difference this year is that there is no Terrence Magee or Kenny Hilliard to come in on passing downs. LF is the most experienced back we have. He will get more snaps than anyone in the committee. He will be on the field for 50% of the snaps now.

Also need to focus on the new offensive strategy of running the jet sweeps to spread the field. This was very effective last couple of games. Add Tyron Johnson and Donte Jackson with Travin Dural for this role and no team in the land will be able to fill the box on LSU. That sweep sped is insane! Both Jennings and Harris are running threats that can execute this offense.

This young man will win the Heisman Trophy. And LSU will win another NC with him there before he leaves.

You're an idiot if you don't think he'll be the bread and butter of our offense. Lifetime ban bet he gets 70 percent of the carries next year.

This 100%. He will get the opportunity to get the yardage and the spotlight over the next couple of years. With the offensive line talent LSU has and is bringing in, he will be running wild. Just pray for not injuries like Gurley has had at Georgia.

And I thought the "fournette is average at best" quote was the dumbest thing I've read today

Williams came in and got the tougher yards thus he is going to have a lower YPC than Fournette. Fournette of course has more break away speed but Williams is more of a work horse for the tough yards. Just completely different types of backs. I would definitely say that Williams exceeded the expectations placed on him and Fournette perhaps didn't live up to (in his first year) the unreasonably high expectations that many of the fans placed on him. Both are going to be great NFL backs. Add in Guice and it's crazy how good our backs are going to be next season.

Ridley had almost 250 carries in 2010. Please shut your ignorant arse up.

bullshite. LF had triple the carries than Williams. The higher your carries the lower your ypc usually is.

Yeah LF only rushed for more yards than any freshman in lsu history.

That doesn't have anything to do with anything that I stated

again, Williams came in for the short yardage situations for a higher percentage of his carries than Fournette did.

I think he did great. But if you read the rant, which I'm sure you do since you are always on here, you would know that many fans didn't think he lived up to their expectations

Why are you argueing with me anyway. I think they both were great. What problem do you have with that.

Why don't you ever talk like a civilized person when you come on here and just try to make whatever point you want to try to make without acting like an A hole?
