re: Nike The Opening in Atlanta - 2019 commit Kardell Thomas destroying linemen. - djkevlar
Obviously Kardell Thomas was killin it for the OL. But, Cole Smith has the type of build where he will definitely need to enroll early to put some weight on. Overall he did about average probably above average, like everyone said against guys as fast and twice as big. Overall he did well at th...

re: If you're freaking out about RB recruiting, go watch Patrick... - djkevlar
After watching his highlights. I would say he is a good RB, but has an excellent nose for the ball and whoever is carrying it. I think he will make an excellent LB. However, if we did need a RB, he could be forge into an excellent RB....

re: Dee Anderson or Drake Davis - djkevlar
Dee Anderson could have a season like Calvin Johnson(Megatron). He is built like Calvin Johnson. He is 6'5" 205 lbs. He could probably use about 10 more lbs of muscle, but I say he has a break out year. Davis has that opportunity also, but I think Dee's upside is greater as he could be Calvin Jo...

re: Basketball: How many available scholarships will Wade actually have? - djkevlar
I want LSU to recruit good basketball players, but I would skip over the guys who will be one and done. Ben Simmons really didn't help LSU basketball out much. Unless, Will Wade thinks he can keep a player for 2 years optimally 3 years....

re: Jimmy's Update of Spring Practice - djkevlar
At WR, I am telling you Dee Anderson is a sleeper. At 6'5" 205 lbs. He is fast, has good hands, can jump like a Basketball player, and much more. LSU has got to find a way to used him. Also, I think Derrick Dillon will be in the mix......

re: All Time LSU Defense - djkevlar
Don't forget about Kelvin Sheppard at LB. Also at DT, Michael Brockers was a monster. But there are so many at DT, it's hard to pick just 2-3....

re: Who will be LSU's starting QB this season? - djkevlar
Since Etling is graduating, I can see LSU using the next QB in line to play in games we take big leads for, because next year's QB competition will be brutal. With McMillan, Lowell, Brennan, and who knows probably Justin Rogers....

re: Instagram video of Lowell making a nice throw during scrimmage. - djkevlar
With Lowell, Brennan, and hopefully Justin Rogers, that will be enough QB's to last 4-5 years, that is if they all live up to their hype. Justin Rogers reminds me a bit of Brandon Harris, but Rogers seems to have a lot more confidence and I do believe Rogers is better, which is what Harris needed...

re: "LSU straight up beat UT for his services." - djkevlar
I watched his video. He looked very nimble for a 6'3" 350 lbs. OG. If he needs to trim a few lbs. what better place to do that than LSU. For a guy his size, dropping 20 lbs. is nothing and it rarely shows on a guy that big. What I liked about his video was solid technique, willingness to take ...
I'm interested to see how cotton developes. He's built like Lewis Neal 2.0
Neal was 6'1" 265. Cotton 6'3" 275 now and if he is gonna be like anyone it would be like Godcheaux 2.0....

re: Signing too many 3 star recruits?.... - djkevlar
Recruiting appears weak at this time.
Yes and our current recruits will be reevaluated, but remember we are getting Louisiana players. Problem with all the "Elite" ranked players is a lot of them feel entitled and are going to have big ego's to manage. I know there are plenty of ...

re: Morris Claiborne expected to sign with Jets - djkevlar
As a Cowboys fan, the year Mo was drafted, Dallas had an opportunity to get the Honey Badger and our MLB from that year. Mo is good, but I agree, he is a man on man shutdown CB and he just didn't get that option much, plus he had some injury issues, so maybe a new start is good for him, but it woul...

re: It's happening Boys! - djkevlar
LSU could play in the "I" with their "Eye" closed. But we need to switch up the offense so it wrecks havoc on any team. Plus some teams play against the I well and We can use that to our advantage by bring different schemes. I think is a great thing......

re: Fournette with 4.51 unofficial (others inside). 4.52 2nd attempt - djkevlar
Fournette when drafted will probably be made to play at 235 lbs., maybe even 230 lbs. Which will keep his strength, but increase speed off the line and quickness....

re: So which OM players/recruits we got our eyes on? - djkevlar
We have Lowell who will compete this fall for possibly starting QB, but more likely to be the primary backup. I am not forgetting about Scott and McMillan, and I could see bringing in Scott in specific situations, and McMillan right now would be my backup, and could come in if Etling struggles. Ho...

re: Andy Dodd transferring - djkevlar
Man I wish Trey Quinn had not transferred. Trey would have had 50%-60% play time last season, and this season he would definitely be a starter. But I wish him all the best at... TCU, correct? We miss you Trey....

re: Do we take 6 DBs for 2018 - djkevlar
It seems that the LSU recruiting staff want players who love LSU and Louisiana. I am referring to local and out-of-state players who come to LSU to become great student athletes. Players that are not worried about stars or rating, and young men who are football players, not primadonna athletes. W...

re: Arden Key leave of absence - djkevlar
It is most probably family related and the bottom line is that he won't be at LSU for spring practice and game. He will probably come back during the summer to prepare for the season. I know I am just speculating, but it's a good guess. Now lets leave the kid alone. Our prayers are with you Ar...
