Not true. In 3 years of college ball I never allowed more than 4 runs in a game. Granted it was juco bal

Three years of JUCO? Did you fail 13th or 14th grade, and how did you get three years of eligibility? And yeah, JUCO, which I also played, is not even remotely comparable to SEC!

Lange is Ben McDonald. Big hard, flat fastball that good hitters have no problem with.

What? One good game makes up for several mediocre starts dating back to last year and this summer for Team USA? Hardly. I'm waiting until UF before I believe

Team USA wrapped up its summer league schedule this week, and LSU ace Alex Lange got some good work in. Though he made only three appearances with one start, Lange did not allow a run in his nine innings of work and was touched for only two hits.

Opponents hit just .074 against the junior right-hander, and he fanned seven batters while walking only one. The Tigers will be counting on Lange during the 2017 campaign with Paul Mainieri’s veteran club an early favorite to make a return trip to Omaha.

You're clearly clueless.

Lol, no, Lange is not Ben McDonald. And both are/were great pitchers

Are you really trying to insult Lange by comparing him to the only player every drafted #1 overall in program history?

Not sure what has happened but he has very little command with his curve anymore.

3 years of JUCO ball & he knows more about pitching than all the pro...key word PRO...scouts who all have Lange ranked in the first round. Wonder how many SEC teams would love to have Lang on their staff? Oh, rite, ranters are saying he's digressed. Good Lord.

we have been saying curveball it really is a slide

I seem to remember him throwing a traditional 12-6 curveball with nasty vertical break.

Every game Lange has started this year I've watched on my phone, and couldn't gage his breaking pitch, assuming there's only one. I do distinctly remember a 12-6 curve the past two seasons though.

I'm all for him changing velocity on his breaking pitch(es). The more pitches he can throw for strikes (or balls if the situation calls for it) the better as long as he's locating them.

My seats last night were low and just left of directly behind the plate.

Last night Lange was throwing a 86 mph slider that took a left downward hook about 10 feet from the plate and a 81 mph curve that would have hit someone hiding behind a tree.

He also hit 95 on the radar in the 5th inning.

So from your vantage point, Lange already has three legit pitches. If he's changeup improves, there's 4.

We were back there too. Watching the scouts guns. The 86 mph ball had odd movement to it. I thought it was a change at first.

I'll say this, the scouts seemed way more excited about Deichmann over Lange (ETA: not that that means anything. Lots more info/film on Lange). A few started filming his ABs on their phones.

Friday nights during SEC play will be nerveracking. I believe SEC powerhitters will stage a clinic with Lange's unbreaking breaking pitches, and off-speed fastballs.

I'm stocking up on antacids and Miles' Nervine. Don't know if my blood pressure will be able to handle the stress.

How many games Lange has pitched have you attended this season?

Hmm, that "unbreaking breaking pitch" seemed to have some bite last night.
