TODAY:
“NIL Ruined the Game!”

Before that, “the CFP ruined the game!”

Before that, “the BCS ruined the game!”

Before that, “paying coaches so much ruined the game!”

Before that, “instant replay ruined the game!”

Before that, “tv ruined the game!”

Before that, “lights ruined the game!”

Here’s some hard medicine for you to choke down:

The game’s still here and it’s still awesome! If things continue to suck so bad for you, maybe take a look in the mirror….

GEAUX TIGERS!!!

He’s gone. If he were really just looking to have a conversation with coaches about playing time, he wouldn’t be sitting out the bowl game.

You don’t. Campbell and Jones have earned it, Heard hasn’t.

Ok. After seeing our defense during the season, this argument loses all value.

You have no clue if you don’t think there are NIL contracts involved.

I’m sure there are to some degree.

But to think they are including stipulations where players have to pay back money is lol

yet you want to talk mess to people for being too hard on the "kids" when they phuck up and act foolish or play like chit. Im tired of the talking out of both sides of the mouth with this. IF we gonna let them act like professionals and do chit like this then they need to sign contracts, have rules and regulations, arbitration and penalties just like professionals. They are children and they are greedy and they often want money for nothing. 9/10 dont live up to the hype. SOOOO treat them like professionals and make them toe the line like professionals.

I’ve said this last year. The problem with NIL and the transfer rules is, you’ve turned college football into free agency without contract protections for the schools.

More I think about it, the tougher it is for him to come back. How do his fellow linemen feel about him opting out. I guess they could see it as a guy trying to get more money and be happy for him. But if it is just playing time, a fellow linemen would tell him to F off

The school he's going to isn't allowing him to play in the bowl game. That's part of the "NIL stipulation" for those "thinking" about their future.

I think he’s gone unless Kelly basically promises him a starting spot next year

Someone is definitely in his ear

Some college players have a far better deal than some NFL players.

The idea behind this is social justice based, and it tries to remove all responsibility from the players and reward them.

Its doomed to fail.

NIL is not paid out by universities. This is a private party type thing. The university does not have any control over this

You don’t actual believe this do you?

Sure on paper and “legally” it’s true. But you are a fool if you think the school (ie coaches) doesnt have input as to what players the need to get paid.

That’s not it. He’s been offered a big money deal to go to another school or he is threatening to leave to force a better NIL deal with LSU, aka the Jimmy Sexton maneuver.

On the opposite end, I rather talk money with him than sign more big heart Liam Shanahan type low talent players who won't propel you to take the next step

These "fans" live in a fantasy world where the players only exist for their enjoyment, excluding the fact that the players have their own lives and are trying to develop skills. In other words, the purpose of college. You agree or disagree with his methods, but he doesn't have to care.

Then write Gordon McKearnan a letter and let him know. And see how many players he can ink. Lol

Everyone has a choice brether. Player, school, NIL backer.

There is no CFB without the players. Good luck

The more I think about it, the more I support the power 5 breaking away from the NCAA and governing themselves. We’ll probably still have NIL, but not like this… so poorly thought out and one sided.
