Is this about NIL or playing time?

Maybe a little of both?

I actually agree

I'm perfectly fine with players getting paid

but I'm not cool with getting paid and then, 1. opting out. 2. transferring after getting paid.

imo if you get paid and want to transfer fine. You have to pay everything back though

If he wants more than Campbell or Jones, how do you give it to him and maintain a good relationship in that group.

he wants to get paid. stop with this stupid fictional argument. everyone on this board wants their value and always talking up capitalism. this is capitalism. capitalism is me first. always has been.

Brian Kelly said he wanted to focus on the players who bought in and are there for the bowl game. I know Brian Kelly is not happy about the situation.

Would you do that if you left your job?

It wasn't Campbell so much as it was about moving Emory Jones inside to RG where he projects in the NFL so Heard could play right tackle (OTs usually have longer arms). The kid was pushing guys 3 yards off the line of scrimmage consistently with only Fall practice. He did get a couple of holding calls but he was a freshman. Campbell had a few hiccups as a freshman as well and so did Jones.

Coaches & universities can treat college football as the business it is, but people are going nuts when the actual revenue drivers want a piece of the pie. Lol.

This is a business for Lance heard and he is not ok with the guarantees he has in place in terms of playing time & $$$.

LSU can make him happy; it’s their choice.

I think he’s getting some really bad advice. Hopefully he’s willing to be patient and focus on the team.

This isn’t their job yet though. When they make it to NFL then it’s their job.

He also had a rough game against Florida State. Florida State has a very good defensive line, but it still was a poor game by his standards.

Bye, bye. Me, me, me. You haven’t proven anything. All potential. You ain’t done shite. If he started and was freshman all-American and played phenomenal, then get what you can get. He has proven nothing.

Who cares where he projects at the next level? This is about what’s good for lsu. Jones has proven he can play RT at this level.

At the end of the day, the staff will put the best 5 out there. If he wants to get paid, go for it. I don’t blame the staff for not being held captive. Unfortunately, this is the new way of roster management.

You are just making a point right? The Bama game and the Florida State game?
