Millions upon millions of Americans will see just how sad Baton Rouge and LSU is. Maybe billions.

Honest question, and I'm sure it's been brought up, but they did this ask for South Carolina, but couldn't front a hotel room and bus for the team LSU cancelled on the first game of the year due to lightning?

I honestly don't know what you just said.

Agreed. That's a pitiful thing to say. He should be taking a positive spin and thanking those that did buy and just encourage those who haven't yet to do it and just shut up. SMH.

Yes, that's exactly what he should have said. He could have thanked everyone who made plans on such short notice and that he expects a great walk-up and there is still time to buy tickets to see a great SEC matchup.

Now, to be fair, I only saw the pulled quotes but this has an "I'm disappointed in our fans" tone and I don't think it's fair. It sure as hell isn't motivating.

It's okay everyone...

I just bought 40k tickets. We're all set to look good and feel good about ourselves again.

I don't know about you, but I will likely start convulsing with complete and utter embarrassment. I may need to keep a paper bag handy to breathe into so that I don't hyperventilate. That, or take a Valium before kickoff.

Bama fans would have mortgaged their trailers a 2nd time so they would attend a 5th SEC home game if they were on the receiving end of an extra game.

They're also at the top of the list of fanbases that might murder their coach one day

I blame South Carolina for waiting until noon on Wednesday to announce the change in venue.

We announced the change to Arizona State on Monday prior to the game. I had friends driving TO Columbia on Wednesday because USCe delayed the inevitable change. I'm sure there were countless others doing the same.

$75 to pick your seats to see the LF and the Tigers? Free parking? Why do so many think this is to much? Maybe we just need to realize our fan base isn't that hard core. You've seen it for years with vacant seats, halftime clear outs, etc.

This has nothing to do with the price. It amazes me that people cannot comprehend that some people have a life outside of LSU football. Sure season ticket holders go to the majority of games but as an adult most people do have other things going on. Additionally people in the south often schedule events on away weekends. If you don't believe me you will notice the PA announcer will not be present because even he had other plans and is choosing not to break them.

And then he'd get blasted here for "being too nice to USC" and "looking like an idiot for expecting a great crowd on such short notice".

Nuts your estimate will be wrong, dont pat yourself on the back yet, there's a whole bunch of people going to buy tickets tonight and in the morning before they go.

I expect 50,000+

Marginally cheaper.

The opponent and the circumstances dictate a lower price and they want full asking price.

Then Joe is shocked when people don't jump all over $75 tickets against a shitty team.

If this was bama, they would have sold out in one day.

Because I am not going to cry about a camera panning across a half filled stadium like it is some national indictment on LSU fans?

I think it is a little sad that we can't get 60,000 tickets sold, but I also don't worry about shite like "how is this going to look" to people. 96% of America won't even know this event is going on.

LSU's fanbase is like 75% deacons doing weddings on this Saturday.
