Chad, don't talk about our boyz like that. You can be overly critical of Jayden or crucify our basketball players, but you cannot call out our baseball coach or team.

How does one "appear" or look like? Did Paul Mainieri "appear" to be one before or after he WAS one?

Yeah I’m pretty sure they could have went to Hoover and went 0-2 and still be a national seed fella

This team isn't good enough to win. Johnson can't do anything about that.

Most of that is due to injuries on the pitching staff.

But, the falloff at the plate by Crews combined with Dugas' completely falling off the map has taken away this team's puncher's chance.

Crews isn't the same guy as earlier in the year. Slumps don't last that long. The number of swings and misses is a pretty good indicator that there's something wrong with the swing. That number has probably tripled over the last month. It's very unlikely that he returns to his earlier form.

People point to the injury on Dugas. But the truth is that he really hasn't hit good pitching all year. Whether it's injury or not, he's a sub .200 hitter right now against quality pitching (SEC). That strikeout in the 9th with 1 out and a runner at 3rd really said it all.

JJ doesn't have any options. Johnson could replace Dugas. Given that he can't hit, no reason to deal with his below average 2nd base play. But, we don't have anyone that looks like they would help.

Can't do anything with Crews. It is what it is.

Pitching wise, there's nothing that can be done.

wish our coach took more interest in Hoover. You can do both, Hoover and Omaha. True story.

I wish our coach took more interest in things other than hitting. That’s all he seems to care about.

Go back and look at his numbers. The guy had more 6th place finishes in the Pac 12 than he had CWS appearances at Arizona!

Good thing Woodward couldn't hire Sully or Corbin. Actual winners

Holy shite, Johnson is in year 2, he has a national seed and you are writing him off. Meanwhile you expect us to believe you would be happy with O’Sullivan?

It’s true “Sully”has won a CWS, ONE, in 2017, his TENTH year at Florida. He started in 2008 His 2nd year 2009 (the same one Johnson is in now) he went 42-22, 19-11 in the SEC, and was a top 8 seed. He won the regional and LOST the Super 0-2 to Southern Miss, who was a 3 seed in the Ga Tech regional. The next year he made it to Omaha and went 2 and Q. 2011, his 4th, they were #1 much of the season with a loaded roster, he made made it back to Omaha but lost in the Finals. 2012 he was the #1 overall seed made it back to Omaha and went 0-2. So in 5 years he made it Omaha 3 times, lost in the finals once, 2 times 0-2 including a year he was the overall 1 seed, he also lost a Super at home to a 3 seed. You have been bitching about a coach in season 2 where he was #1 most of it, and it isn’t even over, you expect anyone to believe you would be happy with “Sully”? Year 6 he had a losing record in the SEC, lost in the regional. Bounced back to win the SEC in 2014 but lost in the regional. 15 and 16 made it back to Omaha losing in the semis once and another 0-2. After finally winning in 17, he made it back to Omaha in 18 losing in the semi but hasn’t made it out of the regional since.

There is NO WAY you and all the football mentality “fans” would put up with that record at LSU, NONE. Of course you will say if he was at LSU he’d win more, which is pure speculation on your part, fantasy really. As Manieri said some of you expect the coach to be perfect and improve from there.

When Skip was AD, he would have the conversation with all head coaches of every sport to make sure they knew he expects LSU to be in post season play EVERY year.

Baseball should be in Omaha EVERY year.

We have the top 2 draft picks on on this team.
This year, WIN OMAHA or bust.

Say what you want about Sully but he always has the pitching to compete. And bats seem to magically come around

He’s won one CWS in 15 years, that wasn’t good enough for Mainieri
Some of you suffer from the worst case of grass is greener syndrome.
