Jay's decision are frustrating at times but I believe he has the knowledge and ability to work out the kinks.

Cleaning up our feilding mistakes and pitching calls is something that needs to be learned from and take presidence over his miscues. Add to that, our shifts on the the field.

I would say no one is going to out recruit him and that’s half the battle. He has been there before so I would say you are full of it. I also think though he makes some bad decisions with the line up sometimes and in game. His philosophy the last two years has been homers and doubles and he sacrifices defense over offense. For example Jobert plays a better third base than White. White should be playing first base or DH. His teams here have not been good defensively. they can’t bunt, he doesn’t steal that often, and his pitching decisions are questionable half of the time. If we are hitting that covers a lot of that up. The biggest problems he has right now other than a weak bullpen because of injuries and not enough people stepping up is clutch situational hitting and several of his players strike out too much.

Im not saying lsu fans wouldnt want him fired, but the majority of the fanbase is made up of morons.

He has them in the mix despite talent or injuries almost every year

Lol some truly awful takes on here today. To react this way after a meaningless game is astounding. The real season starts next weekend. We locked up what we needed to going into postseason.

Go look at the dudes Van Horn has had at Arky. Talent has never been a problem there. They are just as talented as every other team in the SEC.

I do agree his team this year has done a great job handling injuries.

He’s a good coach. He’s one of the better coaches in the nation. We will continue to recruit amazingly and field talented ball clubs as long as he is here.

Now, that does not guarantee that he’ll win one or two or seven national championships. But it goes a long fricking way.

This dude knows baseball.

FIFY

Look at what CJJ did in the transfer portal. But let's hate on him because some great pitchers got hurt.
The fricktards on this board is ridiculous after every loss.

People want Jay Johnson fired because he hasn’t won a national championship before he finishes his second full season.

Dave Van Horn has been at Arkansas for 20 years.

Im sure you had Coastal Carolina penciled in for Omaha at this point in 2016 too, right?

Since baseball is such an easy sport to predict.

Good enough to tease us. Not good enough to win w college baseball best two prospects by far. Far better players we can hope for in the future.

If he’s still bringing in Little and Dutton in situations like he has the last few weeks in the postseason, then you might have more of a point. If he keeps experimenting with lineups and trying to get the team to do things that aren’t their strong suit, then it’s time to question his game management. If, however, those things turn out to be the way he was stretching and fine tuning the team for a playoff run as they appear, then you may not be judging his coaching using the appropriate lens. We won’t know that answer until postseason.

I wish our coach took more interest in Hoover. You can do both, Hoover and Omaha. True story.

Its amazing how many of yall seem to just not understand the ultimate goal here. Do you want to win in Hoover? Absolutely. But LSU, Ark, UF, and Vandy have ABSOLUTELY ZERO to gain from this tournament. For those teams on the bubble of getting in, hosting a regional, or locking up a top 8 then yes, you play for that. But that isnt the case for the previously mentioned 4 teams. So why risk burning guys up or getting someone injured in a tournament that does NOTHING to enhance the chances of your ultimate goal?

A lot of yall buy candy bars and cokes in the check-out lines, dont you?
