He’s got a lot of growing to do as a game coach.

Great recruiter and hard worker

He took Arizona to the CWS championship game in his first season there. Then he took them back to the CWS.

I agree but the game coach shows his team is not prepared for a lot of situations as well.

My God. I didnt know this level of stupid existed

I can 100% guarantee you that any team that walks into Hoover with a top 8 national seed locked up will play it the same way. DVH did it against us YESTERDAY His pitching staff isnt thin like ours. Whats his excuse?

Also, I want you to show me where I said this...

good thing to lose early and be eliminated.

I'll wait...

This was my direct quote to you...

quote:

Do you want to win in Hoover? Absolutely. But LSU, Ark, UF, and Vandy have ABSOLUTELY ZERO to gain from this tournament. For those teams on the bubble of getting in, hosting a regional, or locking up a top 8 then yes, you play for that. But that isnt the case for the previously mentioned 4 teams.

What part of that is incorrect? Or are you just going to keep making shite up?

Chad was such a better poster when he was in TD timeout.

No we are Omaha talent. Just think we are poorly coached for our talent level. Very few times where I felt coaching win us a game. We can’t bunt. We strike out at most opportune times. We are situationally so shitty lots of times. We don’t excel at base running or any facet of game other than Uber talented group.

Yet the fielding has improved and is on par with Florida this season and LSU leads the SEC in hitting? I actually expect improvement in pitching next season, because Johnson is a relentless recruiter committed to improvement.

Would be interesting to see this team at full strength, but everybody has injuries. Still finished 3rd in the SEC in year 2. The Johnson hate sure seems premature, but whatever, y'all are negative AF. It's year two and we haven't even seen how far they will go this season.

It's incredible how spoiled and negative some of y'all are during a really successful season. If LSU gets bounced before Omaha then I could understand this type of reaction.

Chad he is a tweak from developing a year to year power.

Honestly lsu is only where they are right now due to him drawing White & Skenes. Because the roster wasn’t in great shape.

Once the middle of the roster players start to turn over, then you can say he isn’t a championship level coach. Not a declaration you can make right now.

Some of these guys forget that February-April didn’t happen and this is the worst team in the SEC.

You don’t think team should be better prepared at this point? We have loads of pure talent and the season is on the verge of being wasted.

Oddly enough we probably pitched better than we have all year

If this game meant something Tommy White is playing and Dutton isn’t coming in to relieve Herring.

Only SEC coach to not lose a series on the road this regular season.

One cancelled game away from winning the entire SEC.

But yes, let's shite all over the man prematurely before the season is even over.

This is right where they had hoped to be Chad.

They aren’t underprepared, they just have roster flaws that have been exacerbated due to pitching injuries. It’s unfortunate but also shows they need to be more well rounded going forward.

He is one of our best players.
We are absolutely worse without him.
Every team in America would be.

The roster isn’t the problem.

Yes a couple pitchers are hurt but that’s everywhere in college baseball

If having 4 DH’s playing the field is your thing, then no, it’s just fine.

They’re gonna blame the roster forever if that’s what it takes. It’s just what excuse makers do.

Right. He’s done a great job improving the talent and getting us to where we are in his second year. The team has had injuries that have been incredibly impactful but many refuse to acknowledge that.

We still had a great regular season and will be a top 5 national seed which is what matters.

He’s not oblivious to the deficits but one recruiting class can’t totally fix every issue and build the depth you need to overcome the injuries.

As you said, PM left a substandard roster. If people would go back and look at mainieri’s last 3 recruiting classes they’d be horrified at how many misses there were.

We are right where we need to be in year 2 and he’s already in the portal on some game changers so we will be fine. Nothing is guaranteed but if you want a team capable of winning it all, Jay is able to build that roster.
