So replace a less mobile QB with and even lesser mobile QB? Lol

Mett was a statue and Bama would have broken every bone in his body that night had he played.

In other words, no QB on LSUs roster was coming close to beating Alabama in that game.
Joe Burrow showed us how a passing qb would face against Bama. Amiright?

Jefferson was at least mobile.
You mean his Mind was in Mobile Alabama at the local Dreamland Barbeque ordering a big take out box of Chicken & Ribs with cole slaw, BBQ beans and potato salad.........

Oh you mean like the following year in 2012? Mett had a great 2nd half against Alabama at home that night. The Tigers would have won if it weren't for Les Miles going so conservative on the last offensive possession & settling for a FG attempt instead of going for the kill.

This, this here is maybe the stupidest post ever on the Rant. If there was any worst I missed it.

Well, the story was that Snapper played for the other team, so Les should have been very happy.

You’re seriously of the opinion that Les Miles should have been happy with the 22 year old starting quarterback of his football team having sex with his 17 year old daughter, simply based on a rumor that she may be gay?

Exactly. Make the defense think at least something might be different. Saban had the guts to put a freshman, Tua, in the second half of one of their chamnpionship games. Tua could have crashed and burned, instead he won the game. Miles should have at least tried Lee.

Apparently not with Jarrett who, believe it or not, might actually know more.

By sending that tweet Lee is wanting to bring this back to the minds of everyone. We have lots of people right here arguing how Les screwed up not playing Lee that otherwise would not have given it another thought until someone else brings it up. He knows Les should have played him, just like everyone else knows. Well, everyone except you.

Yep, Bama 2011=Bama 2019, plus Mett was every bit the QB Joe is and just as mobile

Mett was even kinda meh in 2012 with 12td / 7int.......2011 Mett wasn't 2013 Mett.

correct.

It' the last game of the season, for the National Championship. For some players, it's the last game of their career.

We were failing miserably on offense. If we kept doing what we were doing, it was crystal clear we were going to lose, so the coach has the responsibility to try SOMETHING to light a spark. ANYTHING!!

Maybe it won't work, but what we were doing CLEARLY wasn't working. Losing 35-0 is the same as losing 21-0.

It's kitchen-sink time -- TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT, LES.

But no - nothing. It was truly one of the worst coaching jobs I've ever witnessed, in any sport. Both in pre-game game planning, strategy, and preparation, and in the utter lack of in-game adjustments.

Just shocking, even a decade later.

People went to jail for 1/6
Someone should be doing time for 1/9.

I think whatever mobility Jefferson had was negated by his tendency to fumble from under center, turn the ball over in spectacular fashion, and just all around bone headedness. Mark me down as a Lee guy if I had to choose between the two. Lee was trash too btw

Offensive scheme was shite 2012. Even in 2013, Miles went back to being ultra conservative after the shootout loss at Georgia.

again, this is flat-out wrong.

Lee's play in 2011 was very good. He had the highest QB rating in the SEC and had very good numbers.

He definitely improved a lot but I don't remember him being "very good". To me he was just ok enough to win you some games, he could also lose you some games. He also had a real good team that year

Lee would’ve gotten killed and thrown a ton of picks. LSU o line got dominated in that game.

One of the message board rumors back then was that they had installed an entirely different game plan leading up to the game. Miles puckered up and scrapped it at the last minute for the more conservative approach.

perhaps, but WE'LL NEVER KNOW, because Lee didn't get a chance.

Even after 3 quarters, when we were down 15-0 and Jefferson had "led" our offense to 49 yards on 27 plays.

No offensive change from Les. It's criminal.
