it was never his mediocre kids. It was the other AAU kids who were actually good at basketball that he semi-adopted.

It's what Dale has wanted for the last 20 years.
I really believe that had the whole Lester Earl bullshite not gone down and ruined his plans, Dale would have eventually retired and rubber-stamped Jones as his successor. It's not like he was real secretive about his intentions.

As far as I know, he doesn't have those kinds of connections anymore, and the only "elite" kid Baton Rouge has produced in a while are Jarrell Martin and Brian Bridgewater who will be seniors this year.
If Temple couldn't even get Bridgewater to attend the same high school as his brother, I don't think he has much power over that recruitment at all.

I don't know. I have a few guesses, but it would all be mere speculation. I can't claim to be in the know like some.
I don't know how "big money" he really is, but one of my guesses would be Jim Talbot. I know he and Dale were business partners at one time, not sure if they still are.
