Jones was directly involved in the Lester Earle fiasco. I don't want him anywhere near the program.

Didn't Lester Earl apologize to LSU for basically lying to the NCAA about LSU? If true is JJ exonerated or still implicated?

But my impression is that the folks that want Jones don't care what the fans want. They have their own agenda.

I wouldn't doubt it a bit. Lots of ego at play here.
It does, however, beg an interesting question: what kind of leverage does Collis think he has that he feels like he can issue the university an ultimatum?

I think Collis Temple has a very inflated opinion of how much leverage he has. And from my view he's not at all afraid to wield that perceived leverage.
