He just started his THIRD career game. He's completed 72% of his passes. What the frick do you people want the guy to do???? Jesus, this place is seriously unbearable sometimes.

I think there may be room to improve. He;s not at the top of his game. Hell, it even took Booty about 5 games to get up to speed.

When Russel was doing the same, with not as good of a completion percentage, he was adored. Ease up a bit. The kid has 3 big time games under his belt and over 70% completion percentage in 3 blowout wins...It is a process

How many of those 72% have been within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage? My guess, an educated one since I have watched every game, is the large majority. I'm not bashing Mett by any means, but some people were talking like he was a legit Heisman candidate and could have 1st round potential after 1 year of full-time starting. He isn't near that level, and is middle of the pack in this conference. However, that is a huge step up from the last few years and I fully expect him to keep growing as a QB

Talk about him staring his receivers down

Awful post. He's thrown plenty of balls in stride. Keep in mind, too that when you pass against a zone defense, you're often throwing to a receiver in a small window, often stopped or coming back to the ball. So, you're not throwing to an in stride receiver.

No one told you tards to think that mett was the next coming of JR. Instead of thinking realistically, y'all were to caught up in off-season "mett might bolt after this yr" threads

CLM talks really high on him and I agree he could be great but I just dont feel like if it came down to it he could win games for us at the moment.

He's only had 3 starts and is still the best QB thrower of the ball that I can remember at LSU in my lifetime.

You need to move your worry elsewhere. Mett is a fantastic QB.

It seems to me as I watched it closely that he hit Boone on stride on Mett's first touchdown pass this year. I was amazed at the accuracy of that pass.

Maybe its time to fire Miles and get our third team quarterback in the game!!!!!!!

GET REAL AND APPRECIATE WHAT WE HAVE

I'm serious and not young. Mett is awesome.

He's had only 3 starts, and weird play calling. Just wait, we're set at QB.

That probably explains why he's averaging 9 yards per attempt and almost 13 per completion.

I've been watching him too. What I've seen is a top tier guy who needs more reps. And needs his receivers to stop dropping his awesome arse passes. He would have like 90% completion rate if our guys didn't (early in his career -->) LaFell everything.
