Well, what should I expect since expecting to win the National Championship is idiotic?

The only thing you should EXPECT is that they will compete hard enough to be in a position for a national title.

All you ask for is effort. Talent will take care of the rest...

I do expect to win every game though....but reality sets in when we lose that you can't win them all

Even in the Hallman days I thought we would beat Fla and Miami

While I agree that's all I SHOULD EXPECT, forgive me for feeling disappointed if we fall short of a national title this season.

Nick Saban pointed out to the press earlier this week, that predictions like "100% win NC" diminish the season.
As he pointed out, every team in the SEC has some great games to look forward to, and to focus ONLY on the NC is a sick mistake.

We are talking about a fan's expectations, not a coach or team's. Huge difference.

This is the first year I expect to outright win it.

Expecting a championship devalues the accomplishment. It shows you do not understand the challenges that lie ahead.

LSU may have the best chance compared to other teams, but the chances of winning it all are waaaaaay less than 50%. A lot of things need to go right and you need to have a team that can overcome adversity that will inevitably come.

If this team wins the NC team it will have done a whole lot more than simply accomplish what it was supposed to do.

Sounds like more of a swipe at Simon.

I just threw that part out there because I know people want to talk about how TM7 can't cover and I didn't want to be perceived as saying that.

Obviously, I'm not 100% certain we'll win it, but I do expect to win it. And no, this isn't the first time. I also expected us to win it in 2007.

No, just you.

Because if you don't see that I, and the OP, are talking about the fans, then there is no hope for you.

Of course I hope that the PLAYERS expect to win the NC.

As fans, we should not share the same expectations as those on the field of play.
