I don't like miles...but i am scared of what we would get if we didn't have him...
he does recruit well and the players like him.....has done a good job overall of putting in good coaches around him....i guess i would grade him as a B/B+ after Saturday.

I want him gone.

Not saying he deserves to be fired, mind you, but I think we could do a lot better than Miles.

Now, fire away, since that's probably the point of this thread -- flesh out the Miles detractors and open fire.

frick that. I endured gallons of shite from this site for defending him from January 2008 through October 2010. I never changed my opinion and if anyone is to take that route now, they can go frick themselves. The reality is, whatever your perception of Miles, it was built in 6 years and shouldn't be altered by one game.

Amazing how people quickly forget the rest of the season, much less the substance of his tenure here. He definitely deserves another season but people shouldn't forget the fluke wins we got at Florida/Tenn. They shouldn't forget the fluke losses we had the past two years either. Miles has lived on the edge with many of his wins at LSU, he can't always get lucky. However, Bama was not luck. At all. They coached a great game.

I've just accepted what he is. Mediocre gameday coach, needs great assistant hires, great recruiter and speaks a language all his own. What you see is what you get from Miles. They'll play hard and most times it will not be pretty doing so. Do I like him? No. Do I support him as long as he is coaching our team? Yes. Do I think we can do better? Yes. Do I think he needs to be fired now? No.

It is the best half I have seen him coach, I want to believe he has seen the light.

What's really amazing is people such as yourself that think any coach would have a better record over the last 6 years here.

To all you morons saying one win doesn't change anything, what about the other 50+? Do those just not count because he doesn't win in a fashion you've decided is good enough for you?

Some of you people are spoiled little brats.

Care to list names?

From a graduation %, # of arrests, winning %, etc etc., the only coach I can think of that offers the "whole package" in a way that's superior to that of Miles is JoePa.

No, but Crowton needs to be sent on a one way mission trip as soon as the season's over.

Not me. I'm ok with him staying. But amend the contract to change the buyout terms more favorable to LSU, should the program start to tank.

Miles bested a highly talented, full strength team coached by arguably the best college coach in the game, which now arguably is Les Miles.

Finally, it looks like the Perrilloux factor is proving true; as LSU's QB complete passes, miraculously we win in high fashion.

IMO, Miles just nees to fix the QB situation (or the current one needs to continue to progress)and LSU will roll any opponent.

He answered all questions in my mind but 1. That is will he win an SEC West Title and go to Atlanta and win. I give him till next year. Everything has gone our way this year. We have literally gotten every bounce. Les has earned at least another year. I will evaluate after next year.

That said, he really coached a great game on Saturday, but unlike many others I don't change my mind on him solely because he decided to actually coach well for 1 half of football.

Miles needs to show some consistency. One game aint gonna do it. I find it hilarious how all the simpletons are coming out of the woodwork after one big win. Blow out NLU, then defeat "Da Bears" in TS and R-Kansas in Little Rock. Not only win, but once again show a little competence in play calling, player participation and game management.

Me neither....i base my opinion on his entire tenure.

I base my opinion on what he's done since the end of the NC game in Jan 08. It's been a myriad of mistakes and poor decisions in multiple areas. I could care less what his winning percentage is because the overall record has been padded mostly with wins over OOC SOTP schools.

What's his record since 2007 against the Top 25 and SEC Big Boys? Not very impressive. We have NO SEC or SECW championships since then either.

Big wins like we just saw against Little Debbie Nicky Gump have been a rare occurance. Let Miles start to show a little consistency by winning out this year, (Including the Bowl) and we'll begin to talk after he makes the two much needed offensive staff "Corrections"...........

Miles has fluke wins?

There isn't a such thing. If you're within 1 score with less than 8 minutes to play, that isn't an accident.

Why don't we see how the season plays out first?

All the love seems to be coming from one win and Bama may wind up 8-4.
