A round of applause for the two little bitches co-signing and the one bitch who can't take a shot. So that gives us three little bitches that don't know a thing about the game. Also if you think that Mett has wheels then there really may be no hope for you champ.

I am fine with Rivers or Randal being the #2. I think as one poster said earlier Rivers at this time would be the #2 but Randal probably will get in for some specific plays especially short yardage. I just hope if that is the case he will have a year similiar to RP in 2007.

I would really like to see more of both of them and then of course we have Retig and Jennings both hopefully coming in for 2013 so should finally have the talent and qb depth issues we have been fighting since RP got kicked off team settled then.

Watch the Saints offense, they only change the pace if they are up 30 points. And their change of pace guy is a running back with sure hands and they use him to kill the clock. Let's try that for a year please!

No he doesn't

Broham, you just have to dispute every damn thing I say huh?

let me rephrase it for you: Mett can efficiently move outside of the pocket.

Is that better??? Jeez I swear everyone who thinks we need another RB at QB can DIAF.

Ok broham nobody on here said they wanted a rb at qb. Everybody has said that they would like to see him in a perilloux role. Jeez I swear everyone who takes things to the extreme can DIAF

And no offense 5Alive, that was directed at Broham.

But The change of pace argument is stupid as the day is long. I was trying to point out that a QB that's a pocket passer can be mobile if he doesn't try to take off at every opportunity like someone did last year.

We've got a QB who can throw and run when necessary. Quit allowing yourself to be brainwashed into thinking that we need 2 QBs to do the job when 1 can get it done by himself. (or so we hope)

Sadly this might involve short-side options...

like the one that was executed to perfection setting up the winning fg that beat bama in the non-mulligan game? just kinda' sayin. if you misdirect and seal the edge that play can geaux. I personally like it because the sideline forces the back to square and run north-south. Jerrard Randall, in due time, is going to make a name for himself wearing p&g. let it begin.

Valid point.

I don't mind the option if it's executed properly.

Personally though, I don't think it should have a place in this year's offense because it doesn't play to Mett's strength. And I'm operating here under the belief that there should only be one QB.

Well 5Alive your vastly superior knowledge of the game should tell you there are major differences between RP and Randall, you're comparing a kid that was the consensus #1QB in the country coming out of HS and who was very accurate throwing the ball to a kid that nobody every heard of until he signed here and has not shown any type of accuracy since he's been on campus.

As for change of pace, it's stupid to do that with a kid who has no threat of doing both. It works once maybe twice a year and with the last 4 years of JJ and other coaches actually paying attention to what we did with a "dual threat" Qb it gives them an easy coaching opportunity to say when this guy comes in it's going to be a running play.

You're really in over your head when it comes to sports I can see, I bet you tell stories of greatness at the junior high level and you had tons of talent but were just to lazy to do anything with it. You could have been the greatest but the coach didn't like you.

Now please come back with another low budget insult so that more intelligent people can continue to discuss football.

I don't think it happens unless he grasps the offense well enough. If he comes in on third and 2, he still has to make reads, understand what they are trying to accomplish, etc.

To me, if he's ready to challenge Rivers for the No. 2 spot, then he's also viable as a short yardage QB. If he's still struggling to grasp it, let him learn and use Shepard.

That was a good one. Now it's time to pick apart your argument and that little shot u think you just took. A rivals rating is your basis for the difference bw them? Comon now we all know how those Scouting Service predictions turn out. There is nothing wrong with a change of pace qb as long as they don't interrupt the flow of the offense. They did a perfect job of that in 07. The only reason you didn't hear of him is bc he was committed to Oregon and a grade issue came up and he signed with us. Now to this insult that you think you have bestowed upon me. Lets get this straight. All District in Football and Baseball in the Catholic League. Played D1 Baseball and made the All conference team my junior And senior year. You were probably the coaches son who wasnt worth a good god damn in anything. You most likely were the scrub of the team. And to TXGunslinger the more you hang on his tip the more I get worried about you man. It's gonna be ok? Everybody cant be a jock rider like you man!

This ^ Randall is a very different runner than JJ was, Randall has explosive speed with very quick feet... The down side of the "change of pace" idea is, when a Def. sees the change of pace guy, they kinda expect it.

Dude, Corndawg Boomed you. What was I supposed to do? Let it go unnoticed?

Way to give your resume in your retort too. I played QB in high school & College but I'm not using that as a crutch to substantiate my point of view. 2 QB's are not better than one. There's no need for a change of pace QB if your current offensive pace is putting points on the board. I'd rather not be transparent when I want to run the ball by bringing in a mobile QB but that's just me.

You sound like you'll be heartbroken if we don't play 2 QB's this year. Don't worry pal...it'll be alright.
