And I'm not even saying I disagree with him but I do agree with those who have said it's not good to see this in print.

This is came after what you posted. i guess it is possible a lot more was said but the writer just chose to pick a few things out.

Dupre should worry more about watching the ball all the way in and worry less about what he would do if he was being recruited again.

I'd agree with this if it was an angry tweet, but he's got to answer these direct questions. That is a rough quote, but every other quote in the article is about taking responsibility for a poor performance and making the most of opportunities. I'd like to know the exact question asked, but even in the context of the article, it's not matching the rest of the player comments.

The Tigers had several drives end with field goals because of dropped passes, including passes that hit top receivers Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre in the hands in or near the end zone. Dupre graded the receiving corps at ''F-minus'' against EMU, adding that ''we can't let anything close to that happen again.''

Considering we spent the entire first half and got into trouble forcing passing reps this is not the time to be quoted as saying this.

First and foremost, he should realize that playing at this level is about winning ball games. Not about his personal conquest. Right now handing the ball off to Fournette 75% of the time has been the formula that has gotten his team to 4-0. Yes the passing game will be needed at some point. Until then he should keep his mouth shut, support his team, and be ready to execute when called upon.

For fricks sake, we're still only 4 games into the season and at the top of the damn SEC! Dural and chi need to relax and keep playing ball. Their time will come, I honestly think I can promise that, if they'd just keep playing hard and have fun! Quit the pouting and bad attitude. There is so much time left in this season. You think some other guys wouldn't kill to take your spot right now?

Speedy Noil must really feel like shite. He went to a pass happy school and has similar numbers last year and when not injured his numbers are about the same.

Not good. From the looks and attitude of Dupre and now this, could be a little click of discontentment. I agree that this looks to be effecting performances, but it also has to do with what these premier receivers were told about the offense that was going to be opened up. I realize they had a poor game last week, but we aren't going to continue to get top rated receivers with this ineptitude in the passing game. OBJ created a mile of separation and Landry caught everything in the area code. We threw the ball a lot because we had a strong armed non mobile QB and a defense that couldn't stop anyone. That may have bought us a couple of years with WR recruits, but I expect a backlash if things don't improve. Miles said we were light years ahead of last year with the passing game and that the receiving corps was ten-fold better than he had the year before.

He's still getting touchdowns.. he should be a team player, no? What good is it to voice this frustration during the season? Didn't Odell and Jarvis go through this? Did they once publicly complain? They sure didn't show it on the field either..

Odell Beckham Jr had 2 Tds in 2011
He had 2 Tds in 2012
he broke out his junior season with a senior QB.. and left after that junior season..

Dupre had 5 TDs last season.. Not many receptions at all.

He has just 1 TD this season, but there is still plenty of season remaining.. and he's dropped too many passes. He has to believe in himself and trust his time is coming..

Why is anyone shocked by this comment? Do y'all think the receivers like stalk blocking?

If they dont they probably shouldnt have committed to LSU. If Les tells you as a HS receiver that we're going to air it out and you believe it, you shouldn't admit that in public. Fournette has busted his arse in 4 straight games and the WR's didnt show up Saturday, a logical person cant blame the coaches for letting LF7 put the game away by his damn self in the 3rd Qtr. If you want to be 2013 Jarvis Landry and have 77 catches then work as hard as he did, I know we wont throw it 30 times a game but when you get a chance to prove yourself against emu catch the fricking ball and look like you give a shite about the game.

In 2013 we had the best YPC RB in LSU history (up to then) and still managed to give two WRs 1,000 yards. If the WRs show themselves to be dependable, they will get their catches and yards, and they will get their chance in the NFL. It isn't rocket science. Meanwhile pass heavy Texas A&M has 5* WRs not getting catches; Auburn and their offensive "mastermind" couldn't give their all world 5* WRs catches and now have kicked him off the team...

It is seriously short sided for a kid as smart and as good a guy as Dupre to make those comments while on an undefeated team with one of the best college RBs of all time. He is still young, so no harm no foul, but he needs to learn better.

Can anyone imagine Fournette saying anything like this if the roles were reversed?

Me either.
