guy missed 1 pass this happens in football but the blocking downfield is great I agree with dupre they should tell these big time wr's that they will run 75% of the time before they start recruiting these guys I definite believe if this was told to Johnson dupre diarse quin I bet they would be at other big time programs putting up good numbers instead of throwing the fly route 25% of the times throw some curls crossing digs skinny post flags outs seams hell even hit the TE's cause all the games I've seen they are wide open but we throw the deep pass to dural 24% of the time and I'm not being a negatiger nor bashing the coaching just speaking up for our wr's cause some body gotta be blocking downfield for all the explosive runs #7 is displaying and hading the ball to him is not a bad ideal fans I'm loving it

I haven't read past the first page. What was the question that was asked? That comment kind of came out of nowhere.

Dupre needs to get the frick over himself. Trey Quinn has a way more legitimate beef than he does. Trey had one game with drops like Dupre/dural had last game and hasn't seen the field in meaningful action since.

Why would it be better? Because in hindsight he's supposed to know that a bunch of retards would take it out of context for 2 days then move on to the next story?

Your right everything he said is open to each persons opinion but isn't that why they ask him those questions? To get him to say something, then print it and let everyone draw their conclusions? Why even say that? If your on a team and the goal is to win and to win you need to be a team in every sense of the word to continue winning, why say anything like that? In MD defense I am sure he was very frustrated. He probably has friend and family telling him he needs to be getting the ball more and he said what he felt. I am not saying I disagree with him because it would be a tuff decision to come to LSU if I was a top notch WR but that doesn't mean you say it. I would be willing to bet if you asked him today if he should have said that he would say no and that is because he is a team player and he wants to win. They just caught him at a bad time.

He's a kid. Kids sometimes say things that they live to regret.

I've see all our receivers blow some great opportunities when the heat was on- this year and last. Those stats are usually attributed to the QB- which isn't always the case.

Put in the time, and he will get better. We need you down the stretch, Mal. Do it!

Pretty typical responses here. Anything to defend Miles, including bashing a sophomore.

Sad group of people.

I don't bash Miles anymore. It's pointless.

Just waiting for him to retire.

miles is definitely responsible for yet another dumpster fire passing game this year...but chi has got to do better on the opportunities he is given.

I can understand why he'd be frustrated. It's hard to get into a rhythm when you're only getting a target or two a game.

I think the "Up and Down" of the level of schools we play contributes to this lack luster approach as well. It contributes to malaise for the whole team.

I wish we would drop the CRAP games, reduce the number of games played in regular schedule and increase the number of playoff teams and increase the number of playoff games

Hopefully the comments and the Media blow up will galvanize this WR group. Make them mad and start catching some balls.

Been hearing a lot in this thread and elsewhere about Odell Beckham dropping passes his sophomore year, and how he had to just work through it and be patient until he had an experienced qb to allow the passing game to take off.

Let's compare passing attempt through the first four games of Beckham's soph year with the first four games of Dupre's soph year:

Both teams were 4-0, both teams had played on the road at a SEC opponent and both teams had faced at least two quality opponents. However, 2012 did have 3 of the first 4 games at home.

2012 pass attempts in first four games:
26
19
23
27

2015 pass attempts in first four games:
14
17
16
14

Miles isn't to blame for those drops. He said they would pass it more, and did he lie? They passed it, dropped the ball, and the other team took advantage. Then the RB's got their shot. The WR's just need to step up and do what Miles and co. brought them here to do.
