Interesting note about the Computer Rankings

Last year the Colley Matrix had a MAJOR error that put LSU at #9 above Boise. Not only did the error change that poll but the BCS in general. Fortunately Dr. Colley publishes his algorithm, so a few people caught the error and the BCS was corrected.
However, there is no way to know if Sagarin, Wolfe etc. are correct or not because only they have the algorithm

That whole poll is so stupid an unpredictable, it may actually be "correct"

Sagarin's looks like a joke right now. How Bama's lead is nearly identical to last week makes absolutely no sense to me when they were idle and OSU played a top 6 team in his poll.
This is the pathetic thing about the BCS. The coaches' poll is hidden now, which is beyond pathetic because I have no doubt Saban and some others may have kept OSU out of their top 5 maybe even 10.
The computers are not questionable and outside of Colley, you are putting the decision in the hands of 5 other individuals who have no way to be held accountable.

I thought the results of each coach was made public on the last poll of the year, no?

I don't understand how coaches that are trying to get in these big games can possibly be allowed to vote in polls that matter. WHat is to stop saban from voting OSU out of the top 25? I know it is the system we have in place, but most of these coaches don't even watch the game and vote strictly on who won or lost on the coaches poll from the week before. They need to pull the coaches poll from the BCS.

What's the harm in publishing the algorithm?
This may actually change the bcs similar to the changes following the '03 controversy.

Is mandatory validation on a predetermined frequency a requirement for these models?

I spent about 2 hours last night looking at it with certainty that the poll wasn't updated with all the games. It is almost like none of the games happened yesterday and he just changed a few decimal places here and there.

LSU lost points because they won and 2 teams we beat won?
