"If LSU fires Les Miles, he will have a job at a major program the next day"

This was a quote (or close to it) on ESPN two seasons ago, when everyone thought he was going to be fired if he lost the last game.
Why hasn't he been snatched up at any half arse decent school, like ESPN said he would?

Les is purposely screwing up his "job search"

HAHAH you're stupid. LSU would have to make up the difference of whatever he was paid and what he was owed

Duck and prepare thy anus.
Another Miles thread prolly aint a good idea right now in light of the marathon thread already in play.

Can we just throw this shite in the other thread?

Because at the time, it was popular for all the talking heads to call Miles a moron coach who wasted the talent he had one minute, then turn around and bash LSU for even considering firing such a fantastic coach the next.

Are you just making this shite up or what because I DO NOT remember many pundits saying this.

Because he gets 135k every month for 3 years to do nothing. Would you truly accept,a job that would negate free money of that size?

Question: How do they actually "determine" if he's seeking employment? Like he just has to say yeah I'm looking for a job
Statement: Yeah he held the team back for years, but no need to beat a dead horse. LSU is on the come up. Put Les in the rear view

I just hope we don't make the same mistake and keep Orgeron too long.

Yep, it's private "welfare" on steroids.... but I thought steroids was band by the NCAA?

Les the family man has the opportunity to watch his son play on Saturdays if he's not coaching anywhere. He's the next Archie Manning. Get ready to see him shown in the stands every week. Not that I blame him.

In the business world, its called a "golden parachute". Past success rewards future incompetence. Les brought a lot of excitement to the program for a few years, les not forget

Good Lord man who gives a shite?

Yea, but now he makes that money without lifting a finger. Les has kids that he can finally devote all of his attention to without being drawn by the demands of being a head coach. I think he likes the position he's in. And to keep getting his severance he has to make a good-faith effort to find another job. Ergo the lip service about wanting to coach again.
