At least three years IMO.

Because with all that's transpired, there would need to be a strong vote of confidence from the AD to prevent the loss of blue-chip recruits. Otherwise we will look like a three-ring circus with a coach hanging on by a thread. If I was a recruit and I was getting good advice, I'd want no part of that.

So if Les stays, simply saying "you get a year to prove yourself" is not enough.

They'd have to do something ridiculous, like double his already ridiculous buyout.

Which, at this point..frick it. Show Alleva the door, let Miles play out the last few years of his career and start over in a better situation. Because at this point it's becoming increasingly evident that the AD put himself in a situation he wasn't equipped to handle.

He's under contract for longer than 3 years now. You want to extend him to 2022 because of the 2016 recruiting class that will all be gone by 2019/2020?

This makes perfect tRant sense.

With regards to very few support him now. Very few on here support him. Let's face it most the people on this site are the Harvey Updyke type fan. Yeah they talk like die hard fans but to most are considered an embarrassment to the school.

Fire Alleva. Miles to AD to save the program. Unlimited recruiting visits as AD=profit.

You Miles supporters are fricking pussies and underachievers. Are yyou ok with 4 losses a year? So if you make a mistake and hire a new coach that doesn't take us to the promised land, you try again. But settling on someone who is washed up is pathetic

Yeah but I think there'd have to be a vote of confidence stronger than "hey Les is back, nothing to see here, we're all good!" So maybe it's not three years, but maybe you have to double the buyout cost.

Because if any of these wild scenarios come true that Les stays, you may still lose 2016 and 2017 recruits without some face saving effort.

Fans didn't start this situation. Fans want LSU to win and buy tickets and donate to TAF. LSU couldn't even fund the AD and capital projects without the alumni and fan donations.
