Just saying, it definitely comes off as you being excited to potentially see our defense fail. Being concerned is one thing, you seem eager to see them fall flat on their faces.

I agree with you about Bama even though most won't. But from a talent standpoint, Ole Miss won't stand up to us and Mett will have a career night against aTm's defense.

Eugene did perform poorly on both long balls. On one, he had no idea where the ball even was.

I expect Chavis will have much of that addressed......or have another face in.

I'm not excited about it, but I'm a realist. a team doesn't all of the sudden learn how to tackle, get off blocks, play basic situational coverages in one week---against a much better offense than we faced last week.

don't shoot the messenger. are you actually watching the games? did you see the high number of missed tackles? see our tackles getting pushed backward 80% of the time. Safeties routinely lost in coverage?

We will need to put up 45+ on O to win those games. and miles needs to learn against high pace teams like OM, A&M, Aub, you can't sit on a 21 point lead. you have to keep the pedal down

while I think you MAY be on target to a degree, Les actually does know more about coaching this team than any of us. OK, Cameron and Chavis know more......

Seriously, they really do.

I know they know more about football than me. there is no question, BUT, he coached that game like he had the 2011 defense and this defense is more like 2008. you have to coach according to your advantages. our D is a disadvantage and our O, (when we attack) is a big advantage

But they just may have a different agenda than you do...with the rest of the season to plan for, I suspect that they have a reason for certain moves...at least, I hope so!

The Auburn QB kinda set them up in the 1st half by missing all of his long throws by 10 yards. Even the most disciplined safeties will get complacent with that.

Plus, when the intensity goes away on offense that can be contagious.

The first play was on White, he whiffed at the los and didnt get a hand on the guy. If you are going to press, get your hands on the receiver and not pat him on the shoulder pad and let him run by you.

"Cover two?" I was in the stadium and haven't watched the replay but I would bet $100 that both of those plays were against one-high safety sets

Both deep balls came against a 2 shell. Now, I can't say with 100% certainty that we didn't roll coverage or zone blitz (was in the stadium and haven't seen the replay,) but we showed 2 high at the snap. And the coverage was bad on both. Not only did the safety allow the AU receiver to get over the top, but no one made a play on the ball on either throw.

Looked to me that in the second half, Corey Thompson came in for a long time to sit Eugene. Maybe chief saw it and agreed and tried to get the young guy some reps to prove himself. Thompson was around the ball a lot on runs but I don't remember him in pass coverage while he was in there.

Our most concerning thing on defense right now is the play of the freak which hasn't been good. He was not double teamed much at all and was getting pushed around. We need better play from him since the lb are not as good as we are used to.

Agreed. Cover 2 with over the top support and the safety doesnt even see the ball in the air?

He did that Jalen move where he turns his head around and the ball is already behind him in the receivers hands. TWICE

He coached the team to a 14 point SEC win.

JEEBUS,

Some fans would not be happy if we hung them with a brand new rope!!!

This team is a fun watch and is ranked #6 in the nation. Can you people not ever have a little joy in your lives? Must you PROJECT a bad outcome in the future...and feel the pain NOW?

I think it's safe to say we'll see more changes this coming week...Ga. will be our first real test and hopefully we'll have our best combo on the field...I think that Freak's arm must be worse than they were saying...

Four losses right? That's what you think? Please tell me, what in the frick has any of those four teams showed you so far throughout this season that proves they will beat LSU? Georgia this week. Have you been watching the games? Do you know who the one team in college football that lost more elite defensive talent than LSU is? The University of Georgia. They have given up 89 pts in 3 games. They were just in a tie with North Texas midway through the 3rd qtr this past weekend. LSU will score on them at will. LSU will be favored in this game and should be. Did you see Jeremy Hill play this weekend? Did you see how well the O-line played in the 1st half. We RAN OVER Auburn, right down there frickin throat. We will do the same thing this weekend. Georgia is not stout enough in the middle. Texas A&M has allowed 114 pts in 4 games in which 3 of the opponents were SMU, Sam Houston and Rice. Will they stop LSU's run game. Will there defense ever be able to get off the field when we ram it down there throat as well? Johnny fricking Football cant do much when he's sitting on the sideline can he? They arent as good as they were last yr and LSU is better and we play them at home. If we shut down Evans in that game, we should be able to do exactly what Bama did. We have a considerably better secondary than Bama does so this is definitely tangible. We will more than likely let Tre White play man on him all night and roll a safety over the top. We have enough speed to handle JFF and his scrambling abilities, exactly like we did last year. Ole Miss will be a loss? Are you fricking kidding me? Why will they be a loss? The only reason we may struggle with this game is that it's on the road the week after Florida. Guess who they play the week before us...Texas A&M. That's a wash. Both teams will be worn out. Unless Ole Miss all of a sudden finds a ton of hidden gems on their bench between now and then, we will have substantially more talent than them at nearly all 22 spots on the field. Finally, Bama. There isnt really much that needs to be said about this game. We have been evenly matched for approx the last 5-6 yrs now. It's not as if they've looked overly-impressive this year either. Regardless, this is the biggest college football game of the year and has been for 3 yrs now. Both teams will get up for this game and whoever gets the lucky bounces will win. That's how it's always been. To just say that LSU wil go 8-4 this season is such pussy chickenshit talk. There was no reason to say that before the season started and now that the season is 4 wks in, you, as an LSU fan should be even more optimistic. But no, we get the bitching and moaning about a 4 loss season. Yes, Ive seen the missed tackles and the blown assignments. Ive also seen every other team on our schedule have the same struggles. We are working out the kinks. This is the golden years of LSU football. We are a national title contender every single year. Only about 5-6 programs in the nation can say that right now. We could be USC fans. We could be Texas fans. No, we are LSU fans and we have a team we should be damn proud of. Quit fricking bitching and quit with the negativity you spout from your fricking mouth constantly on this site. It's gives everyone on here the shits, including myself.
