It's a fact did you watch the book of manning? Both said themselves that they were going to ole miss but they were on probation or under investigation or something when Peyton came out of high school so he went to tenn instead. Cooper went to ole miss also they always all had plans to go there. LSU was never an option for any of them.

Are you an idiot? Can't read? That's exactly my point. We all know it. No need to point it out especially when the OP asked a hypothetical question. He didn't ask why LSU couldn't get the Mannings; he asked what if we did? What would that have been like? You can offer an answer to THAT question without pointing out they never would have come here and trying to make the guy look dumb. I know they would never have come here but I'm still willing to spend 30 seconds and wonder what it might have been like.

I'm not sure how to measure this without taking considerably more time than I would like.

As a quick metric I looked at the number regarding players that were drafted from LSU. I broke it down by players recruited in the 90s (so they may have been drafted as late as 2004 but were freshmen in college in the 1999-2000 football season) vs Players recruited 2000-2010 (Drafted as late as 2013).

It appears to me that recruiting in general has been way better. What;'s particularly interesting is that almost 80.65% of our 31 draft picks recruited in the 90s were from Louisiana. Also, 19 of those 31 players were DiNardo Recruits. The by round and by state breakdown for the 90's is as follows:

Round 1 - 4 - 12.90%
Round 2 - 7 - 22.58%
Round 3 - 4 - 12.90%
Round 4 - 5 - 16.13%
Round 5 - 1 - 3.23%
Round 6 - 5 - 16.13%
Round 7 - 5 - 16.13%

LA - 25 - 80.65%
Tx - 28 - 9.68%
AL - 29 - 3.23%
FL - 31 - 6.45%

60 players recruited from 2000-2010 that were drafted, 60% were from Louisiana. Notably, they are from 10 different states, rather than 4. Breakdown as follows:

Round 1 - 14 - 23.33%
Round 2 - 6 - 10.00%
Round 3 - 15 - 25.00%
Round 4 - 6 - 10.00%
Round 5 - 6 - 10.00%
Round 6 - 4 - 6.67%
Round 7 - 9 - 15.00%

LA - 36 - 60.00%
TX - 42 - 10.00%
MS - 44 - 3.33%
AL - 47 - 5.00%
FL - 53 - 10.00%
GA - 56 - 5.00%
AR - 56 - 0.00%
IN - 57 - 1.67%
MI - 58 - 1.67%
SC - 59 - 1.67%
OH - 60 - 1.67%

Dinardo actually was achieving things at LSU. I don't know why everything seemed to change after their big upset of Florida in 1997. He somehow lost the ability to coach after that game, and then the Lou Tepper disaster...

Depends on who's coaching them. You pay attention to Miles going 8-5 with all of that talent?

Saban leaving the NFL had no impact whatsoever on Miles getting blown out by Arkansas and Ole Miss last year.

I think Miles lost the fire after 1/9. If Saban stays in the NFL, Miles (not the version of the last 4 years) is still here and we have 1 or 2 more natties.

We didnt get blown out by Ole Miss last year. It was a 7 point game midway through the 3rd quarter.

Accepted like the thread too brings back some memories. Even our shite teams had some of my favorite players Odell sr. Was one of em loved that dark visor he used to wear. Trey Langley too he was a buddy of mine used to have some Sunday hoops battles at his dad's house in high school.
"90s talent" yea I misread that part my bad man.
