e had talent from 91-96. We had bad coaching. It's pretty simple Ricky . Better coaching would had more players drafted. It's not that hard to figure out.

This maybe the dumbest post ive read in a while. Why did the other players get drafted? Why did 9 players get drafted from 91-96 if was coaching? What was so special about those 9 players? Did just those 9 players have good coaching?

You get dumber and dumber as the years go by.

he's a legend in his own mind. He thinks just because a player isn't drafted is because he isn't talented. Ok. But yet will not admit that the talent would be better had they had better coaching.

What? I never said just because they werent drafted they werent talented but nfl players do help your case about how talented a team is.

Its amazing how you use nfl players to say Miles underachieved yet in this situation it doesnt really matter.

You have to keep your dumbass prerequisites straights.

Talent is talent. If Dorsey played under Tepper HE IS STILL TALENTED.
If LF played under the worst coach in cfb HE IS STILL TALENTED.

Manning wouldn't consider sending his kids to LSU even when Saban was here.

Its hard to blame Dunn, Minor, Wayne, Stonebreaker, etc... for leaving when you think of how bad we were.

Yeah i know i was just talking hypothetical about the talent that left the state and how successful lsu couldve been if we had the fence up.

Thats why Kevin Faulk will always be my favorite Tiger. He came to lsu when it wasnt cool and i saw him at Carencro when i was a freshman at Lafayette High.

Miles underachiever because he didn't use the vast talent he had the right way . Curly didn't have as much talent as miles but was also a much worse coach. Miles got players to the pros. I have never said he was a bad recruiter either. But while the talent was at LSU he underachieved.

Nfl drafted players doesnt equal talent. Also, you said with better coaching you get more players drafted. If thats true then Miles is one of the best coaches in cfb.

But nfl drafted players dont equal talent. Thats what youre saying in this thread.
Also, if Miles underachieved then every lsu coach ever underacheived. Especially Saban.

You talked yourself into a corner in this thread with your constant need to disagree with me.
If getting olayers to the nfl is a sign of good coaching then Miles is the best.

Its amazing how nfl players on a team is important when you want to shite on miles yet its meaningless wheb determining how talented the early 90's teams were.

Lol that's right how fricking stupid. We did the same thing with that kid who played with warrick Dunn his last name was franklin. We stuck him at db.

We weren't the only school recruiting him as a DB. That's why he went to a no-name college, everyone wanted him to play corner.

The real question is how many titles would we have if we would have hired Spurrier instead of Archer?

I have never shite on miles with regard about sending players to the NFL. However I don't care how many LSU players go to the pros. I only care how well they are coached and perform while at LSU. That's all that matters to me. And I have not painted myself in any corner while talking football with you. YOU keep saying 91-96. The 95-96 teams had some great talent on them. You are the one wrong here. Now if you said 91-94???? I would have not said much. Think about it. Do some homework before you start with me.

Houston's had 1 5 star recruit in the past 25 years and teams like notre dame and Texas still recruit miles ahead of them. Notre dame has recruited in the top 15 since Kelly got there and Texas is still very high even with the emergence of Baylor ATM TCU and Texas tech. Try fact checking before you put your foot in your mouth.

Lol stop it you do it too... I'm not intentionally trying to piss him off I try to get along with him but sometimes you know he goes all Ricky on me lol. I've been going to games for over 30 years and besides Curley miles just rubbed me wrong from the beginning. He had success yes but we could've been turn of the century miami good for at least 8 years and he just dragged us into what we've become. I knew from the beginning that it was impossible for him to ever go undefeated and when your celing is below that it becomes very hard to win it. Case in point his only championship we went 11-2.
