I say at least 2.
Warrick Dunn, the Mannings, Ed Reed, Reggie Wayne just to name a few.
Here is a link to all the La players to make a nfl roster. our state is talented.

Uh. No coach wins without talent. The talent at lsu in 90's was shite outside of the 96&97&2001

Curley Hallman was a complete idiot.

Some of you who bitched so much about Miles but Hallman won a total of 16 games in 4 years at LSU and 5-6 was his BEST season.

It wouldn't have mattered if LSU had signed 30 5-star players per year with that clown coaching the results would have been the same. Hallman, Archer, Dinardo.

WHEW!!

Well the Mannings were never coming here to begin with. Also even with the talent Hallman was awful, arguably lack of recruiting is what killed Archer, but Dinardo may have done something with it.

We had more problems than just talent. The coaching was bad. The AD was bad. Our entire program was an absolute dumpster fire. You can't just change one of those elements in isolation.

Honestly, your question is unanswerable.

Miles had fifty billion times more talent and therefore is held to a much higher standard. So yes, we bitched. Newsflash: he was fired, so the bitching you are complaining about was warranted.

How about marshall Faulk kordell Stewart Javon walker. We missed out on some superstars. 2 sounds about right to me the combination of dinardo Morris watts and Carl Reese was good enough to win big if we had those extra studs we missed out on.

Agree the mannings weren't going to come but we had guys like Tim rattay jake delhomme Shaun king and kordell Stewart who were all great college QBS and very successful nfl QBS that could've done great things at lsu.

Depends on who's coaching them. You pay attention to Miles going 8-5 with all of that talent?

2001 was not included in the 90s FYI and 95 probly had more talent just didn't know how to win yet.

Hate when people say this like they are soooooo smart for knowing Archie hates LSU. It's a hypothetical! No one is giving LSU shite for not being able to convince the sons of an Ole Miss legend to come here.

We had great talent in 1996-99.

Lou Tepper fricked it up.

LSU didn't miss out on Marshall they wanted to turn him into a DB. Imagine that?? And I don't know if they tried to recruit Kordell or the other guy you said.

It's a fact did you watch the book of manning? Both said themselves that they were going to ole miss but they were on probation or under investigation or something when Peyton came out of high school so he went to tenn instead. Cooper went to ole miss also they always all had plans to go there. LSU was never an option for any of them.

And if saban didn't flame out of the NFL Les Miles would still be the coach here.
