How good is Adams in coverage?

Everyone keeps saying he's the next big thing and I want to believe it
I know he is a tackling machine and has a great nose for the ball and seems to excel with open field tackles and makes plays on special teams
Any word from camp on how his coverage skills are?

He is elite in every single facet of the game.

He's somewhere between Deion Sanders and the Saints corners.

He really is.
Great strength, speed, hips, ball skills, and maybe the best open field tackler on the team.
Kid will be an NFL starter for a decade.

People will say i'm crazy but i believe he will be the best player on the team this year.

The word most used to describe him is "fluid." His coverage skills are corner good.

Not crazy at all.
He'll be the highest drafted player on our team I think. He can do everything very, very well and has NFL size.
Up there with Beckwith, Vadal/Hawkins, and some other DBs. (obviously RBs don't get drafted very highly anymore most of the time)

I think you raise a point, and I know why. He's been beat a couple of times, but everyone gets beat. The kid is one of the most well rounded defensive players since HB7.

I was really more curious. I wasn't implying that he isn't good in coverage. And yeah everyone will get beat here and there. Just most of the plays I remember him making were aggressive plays in the run game.

1st round talent for sure. He will be one of, if not the highest drafted LSU player the year he comes out. You can also throw in there Pocic if he decides to stay to play tackle because the value of the position. I remember watching him at a camp his senior year in highschool, he was definitely the most well rounded player there. He was a ball-hawking safety who can cover like a corner, thinking how great it would be if he was interested in LSU.

Laron wishes he had Jamal's skills.

I know that he is damn good at being in the right position/spots, especially for a freshman. One of the most difficult things for any safety.
He may be making mistakes in that aspect but they don't show up because of his athleticism, which bodes very well.
