Ed Reeds a good comparison skill set comparison.
But he might be GOAT safety so let's chill on that

Beckwith is a very good MLB prospect, but he's not a great open field tackler - not at all.

Adams is a demigod on the field, but Malachi torches any safety

He is a better open field tackler than beckwith. Easily the best open field tackler on the team.
He will be the best safety LSU has had in a while, and we have had some good ones (Reid, Landry, Jones, Taylor).

Definitely not saying Adams is Reed(GOAT imo) currently, but I think if he continues to put in the work he can be

Adams can cover. Period. Reid was a little tight in the hips and not as flexible, but was great as a center field type of safety. Adams can do that as well as man up and play press. He's very natural and fluid in coverage and flexible in the hips where he can flip them and run.
He's as well rounded of a safety as you'll see in college football.

Ha. Ok. Third on team in solo tackles (despite having to wait for the staff to realize he should be playing full time) second in total tackles, not a good open field tackler. Sure. Sounds legit.

Let's be clear, Adams is also a very good tackler. He's also definitively the best on the team on drawing penalties on idiots.

Oh look, Penrod is being negative towards Beckwith again.

Not to mention his flopping skills are second to none in the game.

Academy award winner no doubt.

I would say his ceiling is Ed Reed. Thats who Adams remind me of
I've said since before last season, he's Eric Berry 2.0.
They even look alike on the field.

Remains to be seen imo. Last year, zero picks and 5 pass breakups. In comparison, Ronald Martin 2 picks and 9 breakups.

Better than Mills. But that isn't saying much.

Are you talking about Beckwith?
Posted on 8/18/15 at 12:08 pm to RB10
maybe down the line, but Eric Berry as a FR was one of the best DBs in CFB.

He is a middle linebacker, he should lead the team in tackles or be very close to it. This is not a knock on beckwith, he is a very good tackler. However, Adams is a better open field tackler. There is a difference. A middle linebacker actually has very few opportunities to make open field tackles. Much less than a safety.
