Devin White was phenomenal but the Answer is Michael Brooks if you saw him play you know why.

White was an animal. Never seen a line back close in the flats and in space the way he did. He created the angle to the ball carrier and not Vice versa.

Kevin Minter hasn’t been mentioned, and shouldn’t, but that dude was underrated as hell as a LB.

Brooks drove a Suzuki Samurai for a few years at LSU. He rolled it over on its side pulling into a Popeyes. Got out with the help of a teammate and flipped it back upright and went about his dsy. He and Eric Hill were two of the baddest MF to ever put on a Tiger uniform.

Michael Brooks was a monster.

But Devin White could edge him out.

Those are the top 2

I would say Brooks was easily our best outside linebacker when he was healthy.

DW40 almost played a completely different position on the inside with way more tackling opportunities. If Brooks played inside he would have been all over the field also with more tackles.

Just because they were both linebackers doesn’t mean they played the same position.

Really too many choices. Cases to be made for all mentioned.
So I'll go with Michael Brooks, I remember him as a player that other teams changed game plans because of his presence?

LSU has had some studs at LB, but it’s hard to beat Devin White. He was an unrelenting beast.

Brooks was great but Devin gets the nod as the best LB. Brooks # 2 on this list.

Back up your statement with info rather than just throwing something out and making the other people do the work.

You are lazy. Change my mind.

Never heard of him.

AJ Duhe' was a lineman at LSU. Natural LB for the NFL. Would have ruined opponents careers had he played LB at LSU.

White and Brooks in any order.

But Ali Highsmith made some monster plays and should be mentioned along with James and Hill

Devin White is pretty much the modern day favorite with good reason.

Kelvin Sheppard is one of my personal favorites. He was a great leader on those hungry miles teams pre 1/9/12
