Also, those 1980’s early 90’s Ruston teams were tough man. 1990 greatest Louisiana High school team ever

I also went to Ruston, so I’m a little biased here

I’m not being biased. Michael Brooks was a scary guy. Opponents QBs better know where Brooks was lined up every single play. D. White is a freak too but it’s so hard to compare GOATS when the eras are so different.

Ruston/Neville was the best atmosphere for a high school game there could ever be. I don’t know how it could get any better

I think most people on this site are relatively young and will say Devin White. And they might be right.

I’d have him and Michael Brooks 1 and 1a.

I don’t think either is wrong but the young folks here have no idea how good Brooks was.

Michael Brooks damn near killed with his bare hands an armed robber who tried to rob a laundromat he owned in Ruston.

Imagine Devin, but 10 times meaner. Brooks was one of a kind.

No opponent did that for White.

The opponents that didn’t do that probably didn’t fare too well. What makes you think good coaches wouldn’t game plan for white?

Ryan Baker

HIGHLY underrated college backer. I have him in my top 3 after White and James, Brooks was super good too, but I feel like Baker was ridiculous and the unquestioned backbone his last two years here without much help.

If you’re going to play a 4-3, then give me Michael Brooks, Devin White and Eric Hill.
