let me translate...

"There's a gameplan going into each game....but achieving that gameplan is not greater then getting the win."

No. Your universal translator is defective. The correct translation is, "I don't give a good God damn what the other guy did to motivate you to commit the late illegal hit. It isn't nearly as important as avoiding putting your team 15 yards further away from the goal line. Get your priorities squared away if you want to play on this team."

speaking of this...i'd really like to know what he was saying to Mills (i think it was Mills) on the sideline. I don't recall ever seeing Miles that pissed off at a player before.

It was like that time he invited me over to his house for dinner and I spilled red wine on his brand new Persian rug.

I admire you. It takes a real man to admit that he is too stupid to understand a simple statement.

It's a worthless quote, as usual, but the meaning is correct. Les adds too many words into a sentence to try to make it have more gravitas

Great Quote from Les quote: "There’s nothing in a priority list that you would take on a field that would stand above that word, victory." This makes no sense....as is the case with most of the things he says.

It makes perfect sense! Les is criticizing players who chose personal revenge over team victory and drew 15 yard penalties. He's saying the players' priorities were:

1. Smack an Auburn player to get even
2. Victory

...and that they should have been:

1. Victory
2. Smack an Auburn player to get even

True, but a quote is not quotable unless it's well, quotable. Sorta defeats the purpose if you have to type 3 paragraphs to explain it. Just frickin' say it.

Just because your mind, and the path taken of the current coach at LSU consistent brain waives, don't necessarily cross-segment constently, means that sometimes, the cross segmenters waives aren't at that same level of the current coach at LSU's. Everyone has their own particular waives, and sometimes, those thoughts that are played out on the field don't correspond to what the player should be attempting to contribute to victory. Non-victory is never the goal that we try avoid. If you can't understand that, then.......

I wish Les would use 'gravitas' in a sentence.

It makes perfect sense. "Our top priority is winning, not looking pretty"

Rather looks ugly and win than put up awesome numbers and lose.

Let me bring it down to your level.

"Winning is our top priority, not stats."

It made sense to me, too, but I got something slightly different. I read it as:

"Winning is our number one priority, not getting into a pissing match with an opposing player and costing your team yardage with stupid personal fouls. Normally, I deal with these issues in the privacy of the locker room, but it was getting out of hand and had to be dealt with on the sideline."

Now that the op changed his post to include the entire statement , it makes perfect sense now. I think you got the translation perfect, as to say, hit the nail on the head

Mills had committed 2 15 yd penalities on the same play & CLM was just letting him know how he felt bout it...in his own way. But in an article in NOLA.com, a player was quoted as saying "CLM came over to us & told us to have a talk with Mills later, to make sure he was ok." I rather doubt CLM curses in Miles' speak.
