In watching last year's Bama game, it occurred to me that Domingue may have purposely kicked the ball out of bounds on the last kickoff. After the Gumps tied it up in the last seconds, they showed the kickoff again from behind, and the angle Domingue took to the ball and the kicking action he used looked like he was deliberately kicking the ball out of bounds like a punter is trying to down the ball inside the 20. From the very flat angle he approached the ball, there was no way he could kick it down the center. Is it possible he didn't know the rules?

One other thing, on Bama's following kickoff, when #10 hit Fournette, how was he not penalized for leading with the helmet? Like we called it in the old days, that was a classic case of spearing.

Yeah, it's called Ritter's officiating crew.

Wanna know why LSU lost that game. It's pretty simple.

2 plays.

1. 15 yrd personal foul penalty near the fricking goal line.

2. Kicking the fricking ball out of bounds.

Looked to me like he tried to squib kick it and he pulled it left

I'll actually entertain this thread idea. No he did not mean to do that. You could easily see between his body language leaving the field and Miles' reaction which is shown in the post above that he clearly did not intend to kick it out of bounds.

FIFY - also, for what it's worth, after they Yeldon fumble inside the 5 we could've scored a touchdown that would've made that drive and score by Bama insignificant if we hadn't gotten all vanilla and conservative after that bullshite penalty...

I don't think we got vanilla. Fournette got a good run, we were on their five yard line. Fournette was well stopped and Ritter's moron crew didn't blow the whistle until well after forward progress had been stopped.

On top that that, they didn't even acknowledge that Bama player coming up and pulling Vadal backward by his leg.

It wasn't until Vadal turned around, again well after the actual play was over, and gave that Bama player the "what's your deal?" thing.

It's always Ritter's crew at the Bama games. It never fails. Where's Hubert Owens or Matt Austin's crew?

Yeah, it should have been a non call where the refs just separated the players involved. There was nothing blatant or vicious in what Alexander did. No reason for the refs to insert themselves into the game the way they did in a crucial situation. I could understand had their been numerous incidents of chippiness from both sides during the game but the truth is, for such a highly intense matchup, there wasn't much pushing & shoving during the game.

Of all the football related things you could have started a conversation about on a Tuesday night, you choose to pick one of the most sour subjects that has no bearing in the upcoming season.

With Chavis as DC the outcome would not have changed.

I was in the NEZ and it looked to me like it was a failed squib.

However, CLM said he told Domingue to kick it out of the end zone.

So Domingue messed up.
