He took over an ole miss program with no players in 2005. The players that were there in 2008/2009 that beat our arse were all of his players, FYI.

He did have an advantage by being on staff already, but to not lose any recruits during the coaching change and finish the way the staff did at positions of need is nothing to take lightl

We lost a lb that was committed.

I've said he did a good job keeping the class intact.

Most coaches could not do what he did.

You have no idea if thats true. We dont see career position coaches/ recruiting coordinators being promoted to HC.
There are literally dozens of coordinators and coaches that couldve kept a top 5 class intact .
He was already on staff and had been recruiting these players for over a year. He was left a top 5 class and ended 7th. Thats not some rare accomplishments.

3 sec wins in 3 years. Ole miss was 2 years removed from a 10 win season.

Im sorry you dont understand cfb and think turning a top 5 class into a top 7 class is some huge accomplishments for a coach that was the recruiting coordinator before being hired as HC.

Anytime you lose a hard coach an OC in the middle of recruiting season, with more than half the class committed you risk a major fallout. They did a good job of keeping it together.

"Io my knowledge no team has expressed interest in hiring former LSU HC Lester Miles too date."

For all of you Miles backers, please explain that. And also please enlighten the rest of us on what Miles accomplished after the 2011 season with a program that has consistently had as much or more talent in the NFL in recent memory than any other school.

There's no guarantee we would have finished with a top 5 class without a coaching change. In fact, if we kept les and sputtered to the finish line like we did in '15, we would not have finished very high and would have no momentum coming into this season. Orgeron deserves a lot of credit, plain and simple.

B-

Love the Canada and McDonald hires. +

Don't like the Mickey Joseph and Dennis Johnson hires at all. -

Don't like that Grimes is still OL Coach. -

Peveto Gone. +

Juluke Gone. (The Florida "Time Out" negligent and "In over his Head" RB Coach) +

Craig Gone. (Arrogant, lazy and disorganized "Recruiting Coordinator" that can't coach WR's, blew the Etienne deal and the coach responsible for almost losing Brennan/Narcisse by offering Tua Tagovailoa, the Bama QB commit from Hawaii) +

Moved Spring Game to Night. +

Actually answers questions in Press Conferences and Radio Show. +

Gotta work on the game jerseys and the purple panti-hose now..........................

He is 63. Please show me all these 63 year old coaches getting offers from major programs. It doesnt happen. I love how miles being out of work for 5 months somehow means he sucked as a coach.

Have a better win loss record than Saban's tenure at lsu. Be 2nd in the sec in wins. Just that.
