Yeah that will solve everything. Turtle was part of the reason Smoke got fired to begin with.

In 2000 I clearly remember fans screaming to retire Skip as they pandered the game had passed him by....this was during a lackluster regular season where the 2000 team simply turned on the switch and made a run. Week before last this team here would have won the college World Series. They were that good. Unfortunately they hit some adversity and couldn't handle it. I do have my issues with some of PM decisions. But when it comes to post season you need some luck and some calls and some help from the other team or all of the above. It sucks now but good grief. Quit acting like girls.

Yeah--- he only coached in 14 CWS(more than any living coach)-- yeah he could Also teach the players how to hit & bunt--- one of the best recruiters that Miami & LSU ever had.

Maybe some of you hitting experts might learn what CAN BE TAUGHT.-- that JAVI doesn't have a clue about.

Not sure why this is a Javi argument now but our hitting stats speak for themselves since he's been here. And the players all rave about him. We had most of our lineup at or above .300 this year.

Turtle may be a good coach but he doesn't have a clue about inertia.

If his recruiting was so great then why did our teams get less talented as the years went on. Fact is Smoke has no idea a majority of the players Turtle out looking for. Why do you think he finally got off his butt at the end of his time here and became more active in recruiting. It was too late by then.

Now you'll get no argument from me that is a very good hitting coach.

I support a head coaching change for the LSU baseball program. I've defended the guy against family and friends for years but after some comments this season and then the game last night where he looked like the furthest thing from a leader, I'm done. Hope the powers that be realize he's not the coach we need to lead our program anymore.

I don't know. In my perfect world I imagine Alleva's replacement could find someone better for the $750,000+ LSU is paying PM

So basically, you have zero idea. Thanks for nothing

More Omaha wins and visits would be nice. 09 is beginning to seem very distant.

It is such a freaking shame this LSU team is not going to Omaha. Sickening really.

Omaha is more difficult to make than BCS bowl games. So CPM has made it three times in his 8 year career that is pretty good in this era of baseball.

Note: Miles has made it to a BCS bowl 3 out of 9 times.

I'm sure some of you want Miles gone too but When it comes to making it to the top post season play CPM is more successful than Miles.

Again easier to make a BCS bowl game than Omaha.

8 teams make Omaha
10 teams make a BCS bowl.

Even if you have the #1 seed doesn't mean you make it to Omaha
You are the #1 seed in football you go to the BCS championship.

Mike Fox is the only active coach with more during that period.

Because the most consistent thing about our hitting is that it is not good in crunch time. Couple that with atrocious base running, another Javi responsibility, and he is due to catch a good bit of heat.

There are 8 spots in Omaha correct? Of these 8 there is no limit per conference correct? Furthermore, these 8 spots are not subject to automatic bids if a team from a non-major conference wins X-number of games correct?

Seems to me that a BCS bowl is actually harder to get into when you consider the limited amount of games each team plays, limited amount of schools from one conference are allowed in, and you have to worry about automatic qualifiers from non-major conferences taking your second spot.
