So all the "blame" here is falling on Jones. What do you feel should happen to the pitcher who started all this? And the UK dug out was chirping all series long. Any bets that a few cuss words were mixed in? I prefer to trust CJJ to handle this if he has any issues with Jones' behavior. And of course, he has the support, & backing, of his peers. And that's all that should matter, his coach & his teammates. As an old fart, I like his play, across the board.

Quick pitching is one of those unwritten no nos in the game of baseball. It’s a bush-league move. Doing it once during an AB is a bitch move, doing it twice on back-to-back pitches is straight up disrespectful.

This is the funniest and stupidest thing I have seen on here in a long while.
Do you honestly think that If LSU needed a crucial out in a game coming up and scouting said certain player was prone to quick pitches that we would not do it because it is bush league and disrespectful!!

This is the same BS people spouted a few yrs ago about the HUNH offense.

I have no problem with Jones getting mad and spewing about it but there was nothing illegal or unethical about it. Jones was punched out by the Ump for time clock exceedence on a two out third strike at Texas with runners on base earlier this year. Scouting obviously said Jones takes a long time in setting up in the box. IIRC he was the only LSU player approached this way. Jones did a great job in combatting this strategy by making them pay for it.

By the logic here the hidden ball play is bush league and disrespectful. Holding a forceful tag on a runner diving into a base is disrespectful… there is no end to that excuse

There’s no reason for him to yell those words in a game, either.

But that wasn’t the question. You dodged the question entirely because you know that it’s inappropriate at any time. A man who can’t control his emotions isn’t much of a man at all. He’s more like a child.

And the answer that it is never appropriate to use language like that while representing your university. Period.

The question remains ridiculous, and therefore unanswerable, because it is based on absurdity. Would it be appropriate if Bear set his foot on fire during a presser? Would it be appropriate for Bear to throw his cleats at reporters during a presser? Would it be appropriate for Bear to cover himself in peanut butter during a presser? Are you starting get the picture here?

But just for absolute clarity, answering an absurd question is itself, absurd; therefore, the question is mute and unanswerable.

Just because you keep saying,"You dodged the question entirely," and "answer the question" doesn't change anything.

Remember, right now it's not "your university." It's HIS university, because most LSU fans know who HE is.

And stop telling people you went to LSU. After reading your posts, it's insulting to LSU....Peroid.

Calling a question absurd doesn’t make it absurd. I’m not the only one who has called him out for his childish behavior.

What’s absurd is the lengths you have gone to to defend said childish behavior.

It’s clear that you’ve never been asked to be part of something that’s bigger than yourself. That’s cool…we were all kids once ourselves. I hope you get to grow up one day and to experience the responsibility that comes with being a part of something bigger than yourself.

That means so much coming from a scholar such as yourself.
