Architects were just prepping for Tomorrow-world at the Louisiana Disney World.

I may be in the minority but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Actually I think the inside is pretty nice.

PMAC is special to me. I watched some great teams play there in the 80's and 90's (to include Shaq) and walked the stage in the PMAC to get my degree. I'm sure it will be replaced one day but I don't look forward to it.

Only if you're including women's basketball, which loses money almost everywhere except Tennessee and Connecticut. Men's basketball can stand on its own, even as bad as attendance has been the past few years.

Suites would offer nothing to enhance the experience of the average fan.
The only thing it would do is increase some revenue. Honestly, I'm not even sure LSU could sell basketball suites. If I had the money, I wouldn't buy one. And I love LSU sports.

The biggest complaint about the PMAC when it was being constructed was the architectural design. LSU build two monstrosities that have nothing in common with the rest of the campus, the PMAC and the Student Union. And now we have three having just added the futuristic Alex Box Version Two.

Much worse an architectural monstrosity than the two examples listed above (union or PMAC).

I like both. I'm good with the fact that each's look is rather true to their era of construction and not some sort of faux old look that you see so often in things constructed afterward.

Well for starters the Superdome was an architectural and engineering feat for its time period. Also, the Superdome is part of a modern skyline. Not a historic campus with Italian Renaissance designs.

Middleton, Why the hell would you put a square ugly building in the middle of the center of your academics?
CEBA, looks like a government building.
The New Business center, Tried to go futuristic with the classic undertones and i believe the missed no matter how nice it is on the inside. Those wood shade windows on the side are like 10k a piece. Talk about a waste of money.

What does this even mean???

"Outdated"?
Please explain this.

This seems to be the common complaint for the PMAC, but nothing really around there had that design when it was built. Not Tiger Stadium, not the old Gym Armory, not the Bernie Moore Track Stadium. I'm not sure wouldn't look sillier if they had tried to give it some weird faux Italian REnaissance aesthetic in its design.
ETA, I actually think my point is proven by how silly some of the stuff built in recent years with the faux renaissance architecture in the area looks. See, e.g., that dumbass Athletic Administration building in the middle of the Tiger Stadium parking lot.

Google Italian Renaissance
Spanish Colonial
look at those 2 links and tell when what does LSU look like more.

Go take a look at the skylines of Rome and Florence.
Olmsted Group designed it to be an Italian Renaissance campus.
