it's not that we can't have some level of success running this offense, obviously we can. It's just frustrating to watch when you know we are capable of so much more.

We will Learn so much in the next three weeks.

It would be a shame to see a running team get shut down in the first half, only to change the offense and come back and beat them. It may happen in the playoffs.

A small lot of us said, take what the defense gives you. Miles said it himself (paraphrased):"
quote:

their safety came down to make tackles. "

Well no shite, dummy! Saban knew you'd square-peg the ball in a round hole all night long. Of course he kept the safety up close. He diagnoses his own problem during the show last night but proves that he didn't learn from it.......holy shite.

And it's keeping your offense off the field that allows idiots like lane kiffin to keep beating you.

So now you have a new generation coming through that isn't going to go through that much effort under a coach that is too stubborn to change.

So the future of LSU fandom will think of student athletes and their coaches as products meant to entertain them? Wow. You do realize they play the games either way, right?

In case you weren't sure, football was invented for people who play and the crowds formed later. Certainly people, such as yourself, who insist on calling themselves "fans" have gotten so butt hurt over losses that they forget the key reason it happens: to support student athletes competing in every game. You suck as a fan

What it troubles me is his either inability or refusal to admit to himself "this isn't working" and at least try something else. There is never a Plan B and when Plan A is getting stuffed, he just keeps calling the same plays.

What's funny is that you think you actually matter to the LSU program. Lmao. LSU is as popular as ever. But you gonna show them huh....again...lmao.

Not one carry of 20 or more yards in SIX games against them and a high of 17 points scored on them in that time frame...worst in the West for both...sigh.

Harris had 1 for 16 and lf 18. That's just splitting hairs.

What plays are those? Which same play was called over and over and over again?

Really? What he runs is pretty good. Beats the hell out of what Cam and Les run. They don't lose 3 or 4 games a year even with ok QB's like Simms and Coker.

Threads like these get the pretend to be fans and non LSU fans haters in a tizzy. True Tigers need to focus the discussion on the Piggies this week. Nothing more to see here ---OUT!!!!

Lmao....to blame this on Steele is a fkn joke....but then I've seen your threads in the past so I'm not surprised by your mentality. Its actually the fault of that fat arse chavis that LSU is in this situation with depth on defense right now. Gfy

I think I have come to the conclusion that CLM IS satisfied that his performance as a HC is acceptable. He has achieved a goal few coaches have- winning a NC
He has won some Conf championships, is competitive every year, has beat Bama and may do so again one day.

He knows he can beat most every team consistently with the exception of a Saban coached team.

He is fine with the above scenario. Now to those who say I am crazy- explain why If I am wrong that he has not made the changes necessary to compete and beat Bama the last years-

He has been given every resource he needs to win against them, does not achieve the victory, refuses to personally accept responsibility and somehow trys to convince all of us that we competed well and that should be victory enough.

History is a great predictor and we now know CLM's history will dictate more of the same in the future

The only people not concerned are the ones who love Les more than they love beating Bama.

What is your dream scheme?

The Lane Kiffen Multiple Spread that shite's the bed 3-4 games a year.

The Auburn spread Triple Option that has faield without the athletes.

The Ole Miss Pass happy spread that lost 3 games with two first rounders on offense

The Arkansas pass efficient pro style that lost 5 games.

There is no perfect scheme.

Thank you

If he opens up the offense with the pass it will only help the running game.

In the third where all was lost, 1 for 6 for 10 yards and INT. In the second half, Harris was 3 for 10 for 38 yards and the pick.
Just exactly what is in those results that would make you want to pursue it further?

What OP and many of us want is: when I-formation is not going to work, try anything else. Draw plays in the dirt if you have to. If something is not there quarter 1 2 or 3 it won't be there in 4th either.

The scheme has worked pretty well so far. 7-1 isn't a bad season so far. Only lost to a better Bama team.

say what???

Kiffin's in his second year at Alabama. Last year they were 12-1, won the SEC, and made it to the playoff, all with a QB who had never played a meaningful snap.

This year, they're 8-1 with a QB who, again, hasn't played much.

And Kiffin doesn't run a spread offense.

Look, Kiffin is a d-bag, but I'd take him as OC all day long.

Yes, of course

I think LSU should always make the opponent stop the run first. But adjustments need to be made when that occasionally happens.

I'll get lold at, but I don't think he's a bad HC either. He had UT in the top 5-10 recruiting, only lost to Bama (who won the NC) by a blocked FG miracle play. He also walked into a terrible situation at USC, and never really had a chance to do anything there after sanctions ran their course.
