Does Bama blitz Harris or keep him in the pocket?

Will Saban's plan be to keep Harris in the pocket to keep him from running or will they come right at him? Either way, Harris has what it takes to be successful, but we need to be ready for anything!!!

I hope they blitz. I have the utmost confidence in Harris making the correct read and making them pay for the blitz. Also, if they over pursue he can pick up chunks of yards.

They're going to blitz. Florida tried to play contain and Harris picked them apart.

I hate how often Saban blitzes, it's so damn annoying. Just calm the frick down and play zone!!!!!

I watched Brandon all through High School and he will make you pay with his arm or his legs. Once he settles in it's on. BAMA pick your poison.

Honestly, I don't know how I'd approach it defensively. In the past few meetings with Bama we've come out hot on offense with some different looks. I have a feeling we'll see more screens this game than usual.

If they do blitz often, they will get some sacks on Brandon, but if he stays healthy throughout the game I think he'll beat them way more often than not. You know what that means...

LSU stacked. Bama fuq'd.

They will blitz heavy and jump obvious "hot reads"...BH and Cam will need to break tendencies and throw in the middle of the field instead of the flats when blitz packages are sent...Our RBs are literally hit or miss when it comes to picking up blitz packages. DW is our best pass protection RB on obvious passing downs

I expect to see a few RB screens. Also that zone read option will keep Bama off balance and we can work our play action out of it.

I thought about this earlier. I expect Tyron Johnson, Diarse or Quinn will have a Huge game, and possible all 3 will really contribute.

Brandon is dangerous in the pocket. Just look at this play

Bama may try to send different blitz packages at him so we may see quick slants to the slot receivers.

LSU doesn't really run the zone read. All those QB runs are called plays. LSU will have little to no success there. Where Harris CAN have success with his legs is when a play breaks down or LSU chooses to move him outside the pocket. The so-called read option is a wasted play against Bama.

Theres a reason we haven't seen many slants, screens or short passing game so far this season

They lead the league in sacks and picks. Whatever they do, they should have some success. I'm most nervous about how Coker reacts when y'all start pressuring him.

Harris seems to throw passed up for grabs quite often. Is that accurate? Just seems like he launches shite(not the worst idea with the caliber of WRs y'all have) or has easy reads with blown coverage or wide open receivers. I'm hoping Alabama can force him to make tougher throws than he's used to.

I would think they blitz...

Not a lot where their DBs are on islands with our WRs. But I think they will send 1 guy on a blitz a good bit. Their front 7 is excellent and can generate pressure without blitzing against msot teams. But we have a very strong OL so hoeofully we can handle that. But I think they send at least 1 guy a good bit and that extra guy will be coming from a lot of diff places (LB up the middle and from the edge, CB short side, nickel / safety, etc.) and give Harris a lot of diff looks trying to confuse him.
