I wouldn't say often. He does it a little but only when its a 1v1 situation with our WRs and a CB. And like you said, that's not a bad option with our WRs. Throw it up and give them a chance to make a play. But he doesn't just sit back and throw the ball into double coverage or anything like that.

He's been really disciplined with his passes and decision making. Doesn't try to force things and if it's not there he will roll out and look to run or will throw it away. Been very impressed with the decisions he's made so far this year. He's a better QB than people (non LSU fans)give him credit for.

no. he's only thrown like 3 jump balls all season and currently has ZERO interceptions.

I guess it's not the number of times he does it as much as it's the amount of times he completes the damn things. He completes almost all of those passes when I've watched. Y'all's WRs are really good at going up and catching the ball. I really hope Alabama doesn't let that shite happen, because it's going to be a long night if they do.

Yea our WR group is very very talented. But mentally they can check in and out of games and lose focus. Had a bad case of drops early on in the season. And not just 1 player, but as an entire unit. Been much better then last few weeks though, thankfully. They were way too talented to be making that many mistakes and drops. Hopefully that continues the rest of the season.

This game will be a lot of 8 man box, safety high sets. Blitzes will come or drop back in coverage all night long...TEs will be your friend

I am waiting to see how Harris responds to playing in the pressure cooker that is Bryant deny. I mean the last time he was on the road in a hostile environment he had problems. We have played only two road games and those are nothing like he will face Saturday.

On one hand, Harris will not face DBs like he did against Fla..On the other hand, Bama and Ole Piss have better front 7s...OLine will have to give him time

Bans will be the best team lsu will have faced. No turnovers equal a tiger win IMO. That will mean that Harris does not get rattled. Now if miles sees that Harris is getting nervous and goes conservative then Saban will be like a shark in the water and attack.

Ehhhhh. Individually, UF has the better corners. But Alabama leads in every single pass defense category. Opponents throw on Alabama more than they do against Florida, and Alabama still leads. Alabama is top 10 in many stats too, completion percentage being one of them. Also in sacks and INTs I believe. They might even be #1(maybe just in the SEC) in passes defended. This secondary is no joke. I don't want to sound like a poor loser, but the Ole Miss game(if you believe that it was at least a little bit wild) hurts Alabama's pass defense stats and they still lead in most of them. This secondary is really good is what I'm trying to say.

He has done that a few times, but I only remember him doing it with 1 on 1 coverage. He has also threaded the needle making some high accuracy throws into double coverage.

LSU is the better team but the better team doesn't always win, just ask Bama fans.

Well the better team always wins when Alabama is playing. Alabama either wins, or beats themselves(which counts as a win for the better team, obviously). In some cases, the refs have the better team. But they're always on Alabama's side.

I expect to see a few RB screens

We don't run them much. I can only think of a few times in the Miles era that its happened. Even with a playmaker like Fournette, he's only got 7 catches on the year. (7 catches in 7 games...thats a rant for another thread but how can we justify our all world RB only touching the ball once per game through the air)

The thing with screens is that theres a lot of moving parts and things that have to be executed well for the play to work right. First of all the O-line has to sell it before they let their men go and get out to start blocking. Harris has to sell it as well and hold on to the ball until the RB and o-line are set to get down field. I agree that its a play that can combat an aggressive defense but it does make me nervous to start featuring a play that we rarely if ever run. A really tough play to execute at that.
